Europe has been preparing for this for almost a decade. As it is, they have been signing trade deals with China and south America; Europe has been ramping up their defense industrial complex, their drone capacity, etc. The European stock indices are outperforming the US markets. As I type this, I would rather be Europe than the US economically.

Things have been deteriorating with them for decades now, and we cannot rely on them to do basically anything. They won't even sit there and shut up while we fight for their oil- they actively sabotage our efforts to protect Europe. When China and Russia come for Greenland, Denmark will not protect it. The 13 soldiers that Germany rounded up and deployed to Greenland also will not be able to protect it. You need to grow up and realize that Greenland is too hot a commodity to continue to be held by a nation as weak as Denmark and decide whose side your on: Russia, China, or the US.
