Parent thinks their kid is the best player, parent thinks team will implode when player leaves, parent is hurt when it is perceived that said kid is not the 'favorite' of the coach. Nothing to see here, move on. Remember, your kid is 11/12 this doesn't matter in the grand scheme. Do everyone a favor and take your business and your drama elsewhere
They will continue posting here because its an echo chamber. Parents will quickly learn their DC is an afterthought for once new talent comes in and/or comes down to play. Lots of movement in this age
group. Lots of strong 15s* coming inbound. Should be fun for the coaches to figure out.

Ready for ECNL tryouts tonight?
I think it’s funny that Union and VDA are holding U13 tryouts on the same day at the same time. They really make you pick a team!

Is there any point in attending the second tryout for a club if you have to miss the first one due to overlapping schedules?

If your player would make the roster either way, yeah.

yes for visibility. Email/call the coach. They are all aware they are playing stupid chess/keep the player away from VDA games via conflicts. Passive aggressive asf.

Not if you want to make a top team. Every spot is filled as the first night comes to a close

There is no universe in which VDA and FVU are competing for the same group of players. Zero.

Do you mention that you missed it due to another tryout or just say your kid couldn’t make it that first night without saying why?

Definitely let them know you were at another try out. Shows you aren't all in for them to not give you a fast offer after try outs because you are actively shopping.
