Good riddance. If he flees, then he won't kill anymore of his children.

Bye.

The mom made a pretty speech (bond hearing is on YT) and paid $$$ for a good lawyer and that seemed to carry the day. That she is also pressuring the little kids to lie about baby sister's death is unconscionable. It's witness tampering and abusive of grieving young kids who are also in fear for THEIR safety around him. Who would trust her judgement as something as sensitive as an anesthesiologist? The state pulled a kid from the home and she popped out more. Then he baked one to death. They are both wacked as is anyone who defends ANY of this.

+10000000. Her hospital ought to put her on (paid) leave immediately. Whether it's addiction or mental illness or whatever, something is very off here and I would not be comfortable with my or my loved ones life in her hands.

I can predict the Dateline special on this trial... I'd bet anything on numerous trashy mistresses and trysts while doctor wife was working long hours at the hospital. Maybe that'll finally drive the wedge between this marriage. This doctor is nuts for sticking with him.

She is already on leave. She was ordered by bond judge not to leave him alone with kids. So, no one is working. Super sustainable. Parker's death was a wake up call and chance for clean break, but, it was ES who said the "worst thing" would be for him not to be released back to home. The little girls might have said "worst thing" was death of baby sister.

It's like she is addicted to him or something. She has to come from a lot of dysfunction herself.

I have no actual evidence of this, but a quick look at the case file suggests perhaps stayed home with the younger kids rather than work to dodge child support for his 16-year-old: https://www.superiorcourt.maricopa.gov/docket/FamilyCourtCases/caseInfo.asp?caseNumber=FC2012-051886

There have been posters on Reddit who claimed that he would be found passed out at intersections in car in early 20s and that she always picked losers.

The lip piercings on middle aged parents is so try hard. Same with texts about chakras and the heavy tats and her super short tight clothes and little heels on a toddler. But for the income she used to have as a fig leaf, trashy adults. Drama and chaos were like addictions, nothing done to protect kids even after one was removed from home by state of AZ. The 16 yr old teen mom is the voice of sanity, reason and safeguarding. Wish her all the best. Shame she isn't a bit older, she'd be a safer guardian. When CS is jailed, ES will move in another trash, loser man, bet on it.

Where are the grandparents in all of this?

Women who always pick losers = substance abuse and mental health issues. And the super gross tattoos look like they were both junkies. Spare me that everyone their age has tats. No, not like that. Those look like meth or heroin junkie tats. Y'all are letting her relatively new career and academic credentials do a lot of heavy lifting. Takes two to tango. This man wasn't some random fling, she was married to him with kids.

What a stupid question! What rights do they have? None. They also have no responsibilities to the children they didn't parent. So why are you asking?

DP, it's an obvious question, and if healthy and stable people they could be of great support to ES and the grieving kids in a horrific situation. Children who need to be removed for safety often are placed with extended family. In this instance, due to court order, CS cannot be alone with kids, so grandparents could supervise.

My guess is that they are as messed up as ES and CS or estranged. Have not seen anyone who claims to know them mention the extended family.

Dude was an antisocial, risk chasing day drinker. Be wary of other parents and carpools.

He was seen on camera in the grocery store and gas station alone, that kid was strapped in the car in the extreme heat for an extended time before she was left in direct sun in the driveway to die a horrific death.

I think a lot of us would be pretty wary of letting our kids carpool with a jobles guy who looked like him tbh. There’s something in the pics and family makeup, you can tell something was kind of off. His own kids were at risk because they had no choice but other moms were definitely not carpooling and playdating with this guy . I bet a lot of their acquaintances are recognizing a strange gut feeling they always had about him right now.

Wow. What a horrible comment. “Jobless” men who stay home to raise their own children should be under suspicion because of how they look to people like you? That “strange gut feeling” that you experience is just basic misandry.

Yes.

Ah, misandry troll, this thread is a poor choice for you given the character and actions of CS.

Professional middle aged dads rarely sport lip jewelry in the delivery room if only for the reason that it is unsanitary and the barbell could scratch the newborn who you might kiss and cuddle. If you want to champion this baby killing, day drinking, PS5 Mario playing, had another kid removed by the state, great example of functional masculinity, you might want to look around for other examples.

The point that you cannot seem to grasp is that this man doesn’t represent Men as a whole. Same thing for gamers, or people with piercings or any other person who has superficial similarities with this individual. It is the height of ignorance to use this tragedy as a tool to spread your own biases.

Grandparents often help in these tragic situations, look at Brendan Banfield's mom not only helping with child care but vigorously defending him online, too.

IME, both Erika and Chris exhibit many signs of growing up in homes with alcoholism/addiction/MI. So, may not be many healthier to pitch in. After all, before killing his toddler, they had another child removed from home by state. Not super common in families of doctors.

That they both wore facial/lip piercings on vacation together must play into some vision of themselves they had, despite him having an older teen who it would be more appropriate for.

Christopher Scholtes is himself a grandfather. Not the kind you would want to help out though...

What's the source of the day boozing accusations against the dad? And if verified, only booze? A grown man gaming all day screams drug addict, to me.

That is a lot of assuming and you know what that does.

Grandparents have no legal responsibility in this situation. None.

The removed children are only placed with grandparents if they are willing. Stop trying to make these people villains for no reason. They no rights to the children and therefore no responsibility.

Who says he represents men as a whole? Are you day drinking too?

It is the height of ignorance to use a thread about a man KILLING a toddler to spam, troll and attempt to derail. This site will be much better if it ever incorporates a block function.
