Anonymous wrote:Is this guy married?

Got divorced in April.

Wonder if his wife knew.

She showed up to the school yelling at him in the parking lot one day in March, so, yeah, probably.

Tell us more.

This is so untrue and unfair. Leave her out of it. I know her personally and she deserves to be kept out of all of this.

Does he have a drinking problem? It sounds like yes.

Definitely financial management problems per his record in case search.

Cases are: back taxes owed to the state of MD, foreclosure in 2010 which it looks like they managed to block using the relief provided by the Servicemembers' Civil Relief Act, a DUI in May 2013, and their recent divorce.

Who cares about all of this. This man isn’t a celebrity to divulge his personal matters. Grown up people!

As an MCPS teacher, will I still be employed and promoted after a DUI? I didn’t think so. Why would the rules be different for principals?

Having DUI is not against mcps policy and yes you would still get promoted as a teacher with a DUI. Everyone is human.

Everyone is human—but all humans are accountable for our actions.

This man has a track record going back more than 10 years of bad behavior linked to alcohol and only the most recent stuff showed up in WaPo…so far. So, the stuff farther back is of course of interest.

The people on this board who work outside of the school system know that under no circumstances would we be promoted with any, never mind all, of those red flags. We live in the real world where we are held accountable for our actions. This helps us make good decisions. The lack of accountability for ones actions goes from the very top to each and every student who is called to write notes in the name of restorative justice instead of living with the consequences. The entire system needs a shake out.

MCPS is a dysfunctional, ridiculous school system.

When I think about all the good people, the strong teachers and administrators who have left in the last several years because they couldn’t be part of a system that didn’t share their values, or worse, they were gaslit and traumatized and ignored, I feel so angry. Our kids deserve better. The staff deserves better.

WE DESERVE BETTER.

And we are paying for better.

That’s a hell of a statement by Martin but I’m not so inclined to give MCEA the benefit of the doubt either. I have no doubt they raised alarms. But I would guess it wasn’t as unequivocal as her statement makes it sound. Now they have to make this statement so their members believe they were fighting for them. But maybe they were. Maybe I’m wrong. If they come out with the receipts like Robbins had, I’ll own it.

Nobody at all is coming out of this looking good. Not MCEA either.

Just to clarify, both the superintendent and the Board of Education knew. I hope everybody remembers this when it’s time to vote.

“I was deeply hurt by MCPS that they did not respond to those complaints, some sexual in nature. I counseled one of the teachers for the last six months of school to try to get her to stay, hoping that MCPS was going to do something. And they did nothing. They promoted the guy. What a slap in the face. I am so mad at McKnight and all the other higher-ups who knew about these complaints and did nothing but promote the guy.”

McKnight comes off HORRIBLY in this follow-up article. It's so clear that she thinks she can hand-wave this away and come off scott-free. I'm guessing she will try to pin this as something she was ignorant of and pin it on a scapegoat.

But these words from Beidleman's victims are damning. I hope she doesn't get away with her plan. McKnight needs to be held accountable.

Anyone who has been harassed, or bullied, by superiors in MCPS please use the hashtag #MCPStoo. Make it known that this is not an isolated incident.

You're the problem. AGAIN, the union stated McKnight wasn't fit to lead...no one else followed along bc the public at large is just against the union bc they didnt have babysitting at their disposal.

So they are paying top dollar to investigate the allegations against Biedleman? Gtfooh. There needs to be an investigation into MCPS. What a sh$tshow.

To be clear we know the guy is bad news but what is worse is the folks that protect him and who knows how many others

Did I misread or did she say they had counselors on hand for friends of alleged serial harasser/bully?

MCPS BOE Members are already ducking and covering. Lynne Harris is rich saying this:

When elected members of the county school board reviewed materials submitted to approve Beidleman’s appointment as Paint Branch principal earlier this year, no complaints about him were mentioned, member Lynne Harris (At Large) said. She did not recall reading an email sent anonymously on May 3, 2022, by a Farquhar teacher to the board that alleged Beidleman sexually harassed and emotionally abused staff. She looked through her inbox to try to find it but could not, she said. She said the goal for the school board is to “move forward with transparency” and “get the full story.”

“I want to know what happened — who said what, when, where, how. What was the response after that?” Harris said. “That’s what Jackson Lewis is supposed to do for us.”

Contrast this with her saying, ENTHUSIASTICALLY, that she supported Beidleman's appointment as PBHS principal:

Why is Harris "very proudly" supporting his appointment in one breath and completely in the dark about YEARS of accusations of bad behavior? Even IF that is true, she should be SEETHING at McKnight who definitely did know and set her and other board members up to look like complete fools.

Right. It's not that there was an abusive predator in school. It was that he was protected and promoted by many people who knew

Harris is for sure in the wrong but for 99.99% SMPotatoes is a certified clown. He posted his own child online when she didnt want to wake up for online classes during the Pandemic as if it was a flex when really it reflected on the fact he didn't know how to parent. He's a joke in every sense of the word.

According to McKnight’s email to Farquhar these allegations “just came to light”. What a liar!

Second poster here about SMPotatoes...just look at his pinned tweet. He's been an embarrassment to this community for a long time and he's backed by total morons. Typical MoCo.
