Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS)
Is there any guidance from your union rep? If you are a teacher that filed a complaint, I would highly advise getting legal representation to protect you from retaliation and represent you regarding the sexual harassment and bullying abuse that you suffered. They would be able to give you advice on what to speak about and what to keep silent on for now to protect yourself. |
| MCPS and the BOE has their General Counsel and Jackson Lewis to represent their interest. Given their past treatment of the complainants, it seems that staff members should seek their own legal representation. |
18 formal complaints from dozens of teachers at 3 schools. Not waiting for God's justice on this one. MCPS is not a religious institution & even if it were, teachers deserve to have safe workplaces. Same response to the person calling this a witch hunt, &/or calling for mercy because he has children. WaPo reporters are doing a great job with the initial & follow up reporting. Many, many thanks to the reporters from an MCPS parent! Not impressed by MCPS or the BOE's responses thus far. |
Who told you this? |
+1 Our teachers deserve better treatment by their Principals, MCPS, and the Board of Education - another MCPS parent |
The Lord made lawyers and courts. |
+1 And good reporters at the Washington Post to bring what was covered up by MCPS and the BOE to light. |
no that was the devil’s doing |
Any google search will pull up how many of Beidleman’s relatives are pastors. If you’re posting here, you’re wasting your time. Instead, pray for Beidleman that he can get the help he needs to move forward in a healthy way. |
They really aren’t doing that great of a job. It’s just another mcps episode. |
STALKER |
| BOE says they’ll release a report by Friday. |
Haha! No, when you are trying to understand a predator you search for answers |
Is there a public source for the statement by the Board that confirms a report by Friday? Considering the public paid for the Jackson Lewis report, I am hoping that the Board will be releasing the report in its entirety. They have delayed accountability and answers for a month. It’s past due for them to honor their promise for transparency. |
A WTOP reporter tweeted about it but I haven’t seen a story. No chance the board is releasing the report in its entirety. They at least have to redact anything that could identify an employee because of state personnel laws. |
