| She should really try to write down what she is going to say before she speaks publicly like this. She is really all over the place. I also encourage people to watch her whole testimony because it makes her actually look worse than the Fox News clips. |

I guess every environmentalist should stop trying to protect the environment lest they be accused of being on the "same side of the issue" as White supremacists

She should strap a baby to her chest for a bit more gravitas. |
Let me know the next time the Sierra Club holds a joint protest with the Proud Boys. |
| The thing is- if literally anyone else that is not from the fringe far left made a similar comment "look I'm not calling you a white supremacist, but I Kind of am here..." they would rightly be crushed in the media. The post hasnt even covered this. |
Let me know when you finish listening to her comments in which she does not in any way indicate she is specifically referring to the protesters. |
+1 her comments are indefensible |
I actually think that there are more than a few similarities between Islamic fundamentalists and American style christian fundamentalism. They are cut from the same cloth. |
::sigh:: here we go |
They are a national organization that has explicitly and repeatedly opposed lesson plans around civil rights. If they are not white supremacist, they are absolutely aligned with white supremacists in their desire to downplay a history of racial discrimination in this country. I think CAIR is going to regret partnering with them, to be honest, because they have some fringe beliefs that absolutely will result in backlash against Muslim American communities. |
Well if progressives in Moco think Muslims have white supremacist views then I'm not sure where else they are going to find allies. And this whole Muslim as white supremacist thing....wow. I'm kind of guessing that the extreme left just uses the "white supremacist" label on minority groups to other them without looking biased? |
I think for the most part her activism is just self promotion, much like Trump. It’s almost irrelevant what is said as long as it makes the news. |
Exactly. |
Once again, very slowly, I will repeat. No one is saying that Muslims have white supremacist views. People are saying that some Muslim (including a prominent Muslim American lobbying group) have chosen to align themselves with white supremacists on this issue. Those people believe that this is a mistake, both because even a temporary and situational alignment with white supremacists is bad, and because white supremacists have a nasty habit of turning on you when the temporary alignment ends. |
People are allowed to disagree with progressive politics and idea. That doesn’t make them white supremacists. When progressives get pushback, they automatically try to divert to the defensive posture of immediately labeling their opposition as either racists or white supremacists in order to shutdown difficult conversation. They think it is some trump ace card they can use to shut up all dissenting opinion. It’s the same as labeling someone communist during McCarthyism. If don’t agree with my views you must be a bigot! |
