I believe that she won a Tony Award for that performance. |
| I knew I couldn't support her when I came across a video of her where she seems absolutely crazed and unhinged, repeatedly screaming, "Trans women are women!" in front of the Supreme Court. It's all about performance and virtue signaling with her. The county will be worse off due to her time on the Council. |
People in the neighborhood were just excited to get to vote for someone in the neighborhood. They didn’t know her or what she stood for…they would have voted for her as for dog queen at the fair if that was the option. |
CORNdog I’m making comments about her qualifications, not anyone’s appearance. |
Many 3D officers were tied up with a real call at the time, so they WERE doing their job. This was worth a non-emergency call, not a call to the district commander, especially not by someone intent on further limiting policing in the county. And her statement? The police who “eventually” showed up? Nice words from somebody who prioritized herself and pulled them from calls. So yes, a small sign of gratitude would be appropriate. It certainly isn’t expected, given her anti-police stance. |
I couldn't believe she didn't even bother to include a single sentence thanking the police who helped her. |
This must be her husband. |
Who's saying she asked the police to change her tire? Do you agree her behavior was reprehensible or not? |
She abused her power and authority. No one that knows about her is surprised by this. Some animals are just more equal than others, I guess. “The Montgomery County police union is accusing a newly elected council member of abusing her position of power to get her flat tire fixed.” |

Some of the Twitter people responding “non story” and the like need to take a deep breath away from tribal politics.
A councilmember who two days ago called for police not responding to traffic incidents called the *district commander* over a flat tire. Pretend there was an “R” next to her name and the outrage would make the reopening of Newell street to cars look like nothing. |
She has a capable social media presence…they are running damage control, I’m sure. The alternative would be to admit fault and apologize, which would in unthinkable. |
No, I don't agree. I think it was dumb to call the District Commander, but it was an error in judgment. Anyone familiar with the FOP knows they are completely full of it and desperately want to get her voted out. If anything I think the police are abusing their powers for political gain. |
| Btw I estimate there are approximately two DCUM posters that live in Mink's district. The rest of you have no power to vote her out. |
Wow, what flavour was that Kool-Aid? Please adjust your tinfoil hat. Clearly, THEY are getting the frequency past your protection. |
Such a coherent post, so convincing |
