Yep. I just wish they could bus the illegal migrants to Washington state, Oregon, and whatever blue crazy state there is to crush their local economy. Texas bussed over 11,000 to DC already.

Cities and states passing “sanctuary” laws (ie- refusal to cooperate with federal / Biden’s DHS) have loudly signaled they want illegal immigration and welcome unlimited numbers.

I see zero moral, regulatory, or statutory reason not to buss all unlawful border-crossers directly to those states and cities.

It isn't the job of voters that identify as Dems to secure the border. Voters that identify as Dems don't want open borders. They, just like GOP voters, want secure borders with a reasonable, humane immigration system that acknowledges legitimate asylum seekers and welcomes immigrants from all over the world; not just those that can reach our border due to geographic proximity. Our Federal Government, controlled by politicians of two very powerful political parties, has failed to maintain a safe and sound immigration policy for decades. Don't blame the American people for the inaction of politicians they are basically forced to vote for because they have no other choice. Both the GOP and Democratic Party have periodically held a high enough majority control in government to pass comprehensive immigration reform but they have failed to to do so. Effective immigration policy has to be maintained as the world around us continues to evolve. Why our leaders haven't been able or willing to maintain effective immigration policy is the question you should be asking. Mediocrity at best and more often than not under performance is what we get when 95% of continually cast our votes for any candidates put in front of us by our chosen party without holding those politicians and our party leaders accountable for problems left unsolved.

Yet I DO NOT hear a single Republican actually proposing any meaningful fixes like proposing a surging staff to have enough officials to process them and hear their claims on the spot so that they can be turned around and sent back where they came from. Mayorkas said, prior to the repeal of Title 42 that any migrant entering illegally would be deported using Title 8. Of course, they are not doing that because this administration is worthless... but the question remains. If they can make that threat then, why haven't they been deporting these people all along using Title 8?

Adding more staff is a stupid solution, because it doesn't address the underlying flaws that encourage people to make flimsy asylum claims in the first place. You should have to remain in place in Mexico until you have a hearing scheduled. Life should be made very difficult for illegal immigrants in the US. Make it impossible for them to rent housing, open bank accounts, enroll in schools, ban access to car ownership, etc. Once you make very difficult for law breakers and asylum gamers they'll stay away.
