They could negotiate for something that potentially lets him out before he dies. Some people will take something like that, possibility of parole in X years. I’m the one that said a 30-40 year sentence wouldn’t be terrible if that was the plea. It would guarantee his life is basically over and there would be no appeals.

I can't find the court date. Does anyone know when it is? Open dates are 10/15,16, 20,21,24,27,29.

There is a hearing this Monday (October 6th) and his trial is scheduled to start on Monday, October 20th.

I saw on the Fairfax County Circuit Court page that a Motion for Continuance of trial date was filed today. Does anyone know what the likelihood is that it will get approved this close to the trial date?

This is true, on the 15th they will finalize the date likely in January. The defense asked for a continuance to sift through more evidence, and the judge granted it as is going to set the dates on the fifteenth of this month for January of next year likely.
