I am a Muslim American. Nobody told me that I have to leave. I have never had any trouble returning to the US. My last entry back to the US was in July. Have I been banned and don't know about it. There were no signs at Dulles. |
This is actually funny because the Terrorist Travel Prevention Act was signed by....President Obama. It did the same thing as the so called Muslim Ban, it was just passed by a different person. People hated Trump, and he has a way with words, so when the Protecting the Nation from Foreign Terrorist Entry into the United States (Muslim ban) was passed which simply enforced the Terrorist travel Prevention Act and updated the list of terrorism supporting countries, people lost their collective s&^t. But just like the kids in cages programs, it was a President Obama program simply being enforced. So, if you liked the program under President Obama, you will probably love it under President Biden, and you should love it now under President Trump. |
Disagree. Poster is obviously better at critical thinking than you are. But here we are. |
You don’t need to leave because you are an American. Do you know nothing about the bill? It was banning IMMIGRANTS from majority Muslim countries, including Syrian refugees. Do your research before you comment and spout off. |

Don’t try to muddy the waters here by saying Trump’s ban is the same as the 2015 Terrorist Travel Prevention Act. It’s not.
“Following on widespread anxiety and fear following the Paris terrorist attacks and the San Bernardino shooting … Congresswoman Candice Miller slid the H.R. 158 rider into the must-pass budget bill, the Omnibus Appropriations Bill 2015 … this bill was passed almost unanimously in the House and signed into law by President Obama on December 16 [2015]. While the media heralded the relatively painless passage of the Omnibus Appropriations Bill, coverage of H.R. 158 remains conspicuously absent. H.R. 158 did not actually block travel or immigration by residents or citizens of any particular countries; rather, it terminated travel PRIVILEGES afforded persons previously covered under the Visa Waiver Program.” That means more rigorous screening. Trump’s Executive Order banned a number of refugees from the country including Syrian refugees, indefinitely. And in contrast to original Act under Obama, numerous legal challenges were brought and a number of injunctions were granted on the basis that “the executive order was likely discriminatory against Muslims.“ That’s why Trump had to go back multiple times to fix it. Not the same at all. |

New poster here. They actually were the same except with new countries added to the previously unenforced bill. You can't just cut and paste a bunch of Wikipedia stuff and yellit and be an expert.
They are politicians. They have a lot more in common than you think. You can hate Trump. But don't think he is doing anything unique here. |

Is it really a satire site?

Again, SLOWLY, so you will hopefully understand. They were similar but still different in crucial ways. Trump did an Executive Order for his Muslim ban. Obama signed a Budget Bill that had almost unanimous support that included HR 158. Trump’s initial order was declared unconstitutional, Obama’s wasn’t. Why? Because it wasn't discriminatory like Trump’s. I know you like simplify things and try to confuse people and drag Obama back into Trump’ messes. Like When Trump tried to talk about how Obama screwed up H1N1 and left Trump some bad tests for Covid. But you can’t do that here. Here’s a Cato Institute Report for you about why Trump’s ban is nothing like other presidents legislation. https://www.cato.org/blog/prior-presidents-travel-bans-are-different-president-trumps-ban |
You don't understand what "the Muslim ban" refers to? Really? |
| Why were these gangs allowed on the restaurants private property and why were they allowed to assault restaurant customers? |
We have a BLM sign, and I feel great when I see them in our neighborhood. It is an "honest way to show empathy and teach your kids right from wrong." In fact, if you want to teach your kids right from wrong, discussing this and showing your support is a must. I'm not concerned with my kids being swept up in any extremes. Your weird brand of paranoia might be passed on to your kids, though. |
Because Trump likes this kind of behavior. |
Maybe if the left practiced what they preach, actually be inclusive, the poor rural whites wouldn't have given the country the middle finger. But here we are...and nobody has learned a thing. |
Uh, duh to the bolded. That's why it's referred to as the Muslim ban. |
Trump doesn't care about rural whites. He's just using them because Steve Bannon told him that was a good strategy. |
