No one was assaulted. Just because Paul Rand peed his pants doesn't mean he was assaulted.

More harassment of peaceful diners tonight:

More votes for Trump. This is exactly why Trump and Biden are now basically tied. Keep on turning off people to the Democrats. No one responds to militaristic threats and demands. I'm not going to getup and leave my dinner whenever some moron has a political ideology and demands me to join. You'd be protesting for someone's cause for the rest of your life.

They are politicians. They have a lot more in common than you think. You can hate Trump. But don't think he is doing anything unique here.

Uh, duh to the bolded. That's why it's referred to as the Muslim ban.

It's a fallacy t call it a "Muslim ban" when you'd be hard pressed to find a Muslim in some oof these countries.

The Trump administration is expanding its travel ban by restricting travel from six countries, citing security risks, the Department of Homeland Security announced Friday.

The countries — Eritrea, Kyrgyzstan, Myanmar, Nigeria, Sudan and Tanzania — join seven other nations, five with Muslim majorities, that were already part of a Trump administration's travel ban announced in 2017. All of the newly named countries except Myanmar have Muslim populations of 35 percent or more.

The new restrictions only cover some immigrant categories, targeting visa holders who want to live in the U.S. The 2017 travel ban was broader, restricting people who wanted to travel to the U.S. as well as other visa categories.

That ban applied to people from Iran, Libya, Somalia, Syria and Yemen — all predominantly Muslim countries — as well as North Korea and Venezuela and was held up by the Supreme Court in 2018.

The security risks cited for the new restrictions differed for each country. The administration cited reasons from poor cooperation with Interpol to bad tracking to "deficiencies" related to transitioning away from military rule.

No, there were literally people who were assaulted. There was a civilian who said that he was just going to watch fireworks who was assaulted. Bloody face,
water thrown on him.

Biden voter here. We all have to do our best to live in an objective reality. Stop with the spin.

This is why we can't have nice things in DC.

BLM square will not last that long.

And BLM Plaza would probably never have existed if Trump hadn’t gassed all those protestors. Every step he takes inflames tensions.

6) Muslim Ban

I am a Muslim American. Nobody told me that I have to leave. I have never had any trouble returning to the US. My last entry back to the US was in July. Have I been banned and don't know about it. There were no signs at Dulles.

You don’t need to leave because you are an American. Do you know nothing about the bill? It was banning IMMIGRANTS from majority Muslim countries, including Syrian refugees. Do your research before you comment and spout off.

How DARE this Muslim American speak his/her mind and blow up your narrative

At about this point, I would have quietly gone into my purse and pulled out a .45. She is backed into the wall by a mob. That’s a hard ‘no’

There are more honest ways to show empathy and teach your kids right from wrong. The yard sign might save you from this mob, but it could cost you your kid. Be careful.

You are insane.

Disagree. Poster is obviously better at critical thinking than you are. But here we are.

We have a BLM sign, and I feel great when I see them in our neighborhood. It is an "honest way to show empathy and teach your kids right from wrong." In fact, if you want to teach your kids right from wrong, discussing this and showing your support is a must.

I'm not concerned with my kids being swept up in any extremes. Your weird brand of paranoia might be passed on to your kids, though.

All three of my teen/young adult kids, along with my husband have been swept up by this movement. I am the ONLY one who hasn’t, and they know ANY attempt towards intimidation or violence anywhere will result in me calling the authorities and/or leaving the household for good. You are dead wrong if you think it isn’t a problem for other families

Stuff like this is why I’m leaving DC and moving to Bethesda....

All these restaurants will close, businesses are already leaving DC like crazy.

What will be left? 1/2 empty office buildings and museums? Where is the Mayor on stopping this?

The Mayor is taking pictures at BLM plaza. The background is boarded up buildings.

Shes a disgeace. DC has had such a rebound in the past 20 yeara that she could build on to truly help the communities and people that are still disenfranchised. To do that we need security and a tax base. The way she allowed the lootings of CVS etc. was horrific. Spit in the face of law abidinf citizens and residents. To allow guests to be attacked in Lafayette Square (i dont care what political affiliation) is disgraceful. Goodbye businesses and tourism. Who does that help? Bring back Tony Williams. He was such a thoughtful , decent Mayor.
