I'm not proud of it, but so do I.

My SO and parents are refusing to get the vaccine (my siblings and I did get it). I have no idea how to change their minds. I feel so helpless.

I convinced my Rush Limbaugh loving uncle to get vaccinated after he said, "well, if I get Covid I'll just get those antibodies or Remdesivir like Trump did" and I pointed out that both of those treatments are also "new" and being given under Emergency Use Authorizations, just like the Covid vaccine he's afraid of.

Of course he had to "do his own research" but last week after he dropped my aunt off to get her hair done, he went to the CVS and got the shot!

Good for you! One more vaccinated person!

Me too.
And as someone who works in Medicaid, I have to stop myself from thinking very dark thoughts about that Sara Walsh lady's husband who is currently on a vent.

Another Republican rep who has posted that Covid and vaccines aren't real is ill. Rep. Keith Kidwell, R-Beaufort has posted on Facebook that his wife Viki is hospitalized with low oxygen levels with Covid.

In any other illness, it wouldn’t be so… funny’s not the right word. It’s not really weird. Just? It wouldn’t be so just when people got terrifyingly sick, but with delta, there’s a simple preventative step that would have prevented almost all these people from falling ill. It’s unreal watching these people risk killing themselves (and killing other people’s kids) to own the libs.

It's a tragic combo of irony, karma and hubris. Like Greek tragedy.

I have to admit I get a twinge of hope too every time I see MAGA & health nut deniers learn that COVID doesn't give a duck (retaining my empathy those who have legitimate concerns about vaccines).

They just need to go away.

Jackass Burke was going around saying the vaccine was implanting microchips so that the state could control the people.
And now he's on a ventilator asking for prayers. Nope. No prayers for you, Burke. You do not deserve prayers.
Seriously, this brand of conservatism IS a mental disease.

This guy took a liver that could have gone to someone more worthy. Someone who hadn’t willfully ignored medical advice.

+1. Time to let God’s will be done and give that vent to a kid or someone more deserving.
