Daddy WARBUCKs here. Lol |
As it should have always been. The arrogance of DA to insist no kid can play HS. Oh and their substitution rule to mirror the National Team. What a joke. Glad to see its over |
Please make this happen. Other boys clubs will take the top Arlington DA talent from outside Arlington (i.e, most of the top players) when you move to ECNL. |
This is the truth. But some people on this board wont believe this, and they keep hoping that their club will get ECNL. The reality is, US Soccer was taken over by the executives from NCFC (ECNL club) in the past 60 days. Some mega clubs quietly left the DA when they saw the writing on the wall. The old established, respected, big clubs (like Surf) who had not left on their own, were I am sure given the nod to come back earlier this week. All of this was worked out prior to the broad announcements. There is not going to be an announcement of DA ending and then later ECNL wings it and figures out new teams and ECNL region adjustments later. This is being handled now for the 2020 / 2021 season. You club will be in our out now for next year. Girls side is set nationally other than these few moves. Boys side will add some, but they will have to be all in ECNL (girls / boys). So, in our area, you will see Bethesda, VDA, and Loudoun flip boys DA to ECNL to become all in clubs. If you watched the past year, ECNL surrounded all DA clubs with a mirror ECNL club next door (e.g. FCV and Loudoun). There was a reason for that..... |
Loudoun was already "all in" for ECNL this past year. |
| Reward Beach FC with a ECNL bid. Its an untapped market and fits in perfectly. Wouldn't that be a punch in the gut |
| So do you think we could see Va and Md highschool soccer both play in the spring(at this coming year and maybe permanently)? |
Absolutely not. Lol. The Board of Education doesn't care about your kids club soccer. Nor should they. I don't understand this sense of entitlement. |
...interesting |
They've been fighting to get in. The have the entire Hampton Roads area to themselves. Its a no brainer. Trust and believe, Loudoun and Mclean will be pushing for that over Arlington and or FCV |
But quality-wise, Arlington and FCV are better, even in a diluted market, than Beach. My DD has played Beach, and has also scrimmaged Arlington DA team. Not even close to the same. |
Exactly. There is also a reason Surf announced the move to ECNL, and the demise of DA, this morning to their parents. Real So Cal is the only other DA team in southern CA that is being admitted to ECNL. If those top clubs already announced today their move to ECNL just ahead of the formal end of DA, then ask yourself why FCV, Arlington, BA, MU, etc. have not made similar announcements to their parents. The game of musical chairs is over. If your club hasn't yet made an announcement, then they are not getting into ECNL. |
You must be new to this. Up until a few years ago, most ECNL clubs had been insisting their kids not play HS. |
+1000 |
You must be new to this because ECNL kids use to play year around while simultaneously playing HS. Its was considered too much. So the clubs tried to block it. However, it didn't work. ECNL is not setup like that anymore. Have a nice day |
