MCLEAN IS NOT CAPABLE OF BEING A GOOD PARTNER.

MLS 2, not MLS Next

FALSE, McLEAN/VA UNION was going to lose their ECNL Charter and had to find a new partner.

BRAVE was doing worse than McLean so I think they were both in jeopardy.

That is incorrect; Brave had better teams on the girl's side and on the boy's side.

LOL, they are leaving ECNL. It's been confirmed. They applied to MLS and GA already.

Nice story. They have a competitive boys program and they have a long waiting list of players to join every age group. Wouldn’t make sense.

This will be adorable to refer back to after you learn what you're talking about. I spoke with two coaches from Arlington this week and both confirmed the club applied to GA (got in late so they have to wait for next season) and MLS. So, don't care if you don't believe it. It's fact.

Also, the reason clubs move has nothing to do with how many kids are applying.

Arlingtons history should tell you a thing or two about why they arent getting in GA this year. They may never get GA and as things stand today they don't deserve it.

What a joke. Arlington does not want GA/MLS Next no matter how much you want that narrative. They got sufficiently burned by DA and administration does not feel a need. That’s a fact. You think the coaches you know make the call on this? They don’t. It’s the administration. They are a stable and profitable club and don’t need to downgrade to GA.

If Arlington/ Bethesda announce they going to GA - I will believe it’s on the rise.

BSC MIGHT go, depending on what MLSN demands of them and their response.

Arlington is a LONG shot. They were already in the GA for like a year before they joined ECNL post collapse of the DA I'm pretty sure. Shows you where they wanted to be.

Are you guys saying both can happen this year???

Who is going to coach MYS GA and GA Aspire teams?

Arlington is a no currently. BSC is a maybe, but likelihood increases 12 months from now.

Looking at the old DA model, was it not only like 3 clubs around here that had it - FCV, BSC and McLean? Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

My point is less=elite so wouldn't more GA clubs make the few remaining ECNL clubs the elite ones? Just throwing this out there as a thought excercise. GA will take over and likely win the money game here, but in the short ECNL is still ECNL and wouldn;t that make the few remaining clubs the ones to be at now? I don't care about 2-3 years down the road.

Or the opposite? ECNL irrelevant and GA stronger with less travel.

25-26 coaching slate hasn't been announced yet, but presumably the same pool that currently coach their Green (RL) and White (NCSL) teams, perhaps with additions/returns from FVU.

But GA is not stronger now, and likely not until 2012 age groups get to HS, so less travel is certainly not the answer.
