DMV soccer is a mess for girls and if you hear otherwise it's only because you're hearing peoples perspectives from situations that work for THEM, which isn't always the same for others.

Ok, so just start with one and hope it works out? Are the Pre-ecnl feeder teams much of an indicator of future performance or does it all get shaken up at u13?

U13 is where things get shaken up, there's no clubs around that truly have any stable environments where you can expect the same coaches/directors for years, and if they tell you so, they're writing a check they can't cash. For younger years your best bet is to just find the appropriate level of competition where your player can grow, if he/she continues to break the ceiling, move to the next level and find the appropriate environment there, so on and so forth.

A lot depends on the coach. You can look across age groups and see some highs and lows for each club. See who the coach will be then look at any current teams they coach.

McLean ECNL RL is not part of Union. The club might want you to think that. You think they will move the ECNL RL player up to Union roster? I don't think that Union pick up any players from RL in the past few years.

That's because McLean has not been part of Onion until now. McLean will now be the farm team for Onion especially on the girls side.

How has McLean not been part of Union until now? "Union" was McLean/SYC and now it is McLean/Vienna/BRYC.

This club is absolutely crap. You would think that based on their IG account they only have girls team. We came from a large club in Loudoun that had a very good girls program but promoted both sides. Union only post stuff about the girls side, it's ridiculous. Good luck with recruiting and the Boys TD is 100 years old so nothing will change there.
