+2. My daughter’s life could be threatened by these laws. Of course it’s my top voting issue. |
Joe Biden isn’t running for office. I promise we heard that on CNN. Please get your guy out there on the trail saying he’s the pro-choice candidate. |
And yet. Trump stacked the SC to overturn his own belief in choice. And Biden is yesterday’s news. Try again. |
Trump says what most Americans believe that he doesn’t like it but sometimes it’s necessary but that doing it in late trimesters or even after birth which Dems want is unacceptable . The Dems want full reproductive freedoms and abortion rights throughout all trimesters made law . Most Americans agree with Trump that’s going too far and also banning abortion or abortion pills entirely nationwide is also too far |
+1. GOP BoTS haven’t been reprogrammed yet to talk about Kamala. Somehow I don’t think Trump’s record on abortion rights is comparable to hers. Although I would not be shocked if he funded abortions for several affair partners |
Which of course makes it super surprising that he appointed judges who lied under oath and removed the federal protection of abortion in early trimesters, right? Get your guy out there telling Kavanaugh he was wrong. |
You keep on saying this. This is not a thing. Furthermore, if that's what Trump truly believes, he appointed the wrong judges and joined the wrong party. |
Trump’s tax laws will result in $3,000 a year more for middle class families while millionaires will get tax cuts. But do tell us how trump is helping the middle class. |
It didn’t remove the federal protection of early trimester abortions. It left it to the states and all the states have exceptions for life of the mother so it’s strange people keep talking about ectopic pregnancies . Something that is rare and isn’t the norm in 99% of pregnancies . Most abortions aren’t for medical necessity |
The PPs aren’t incoherent. I think Republicans just don’t like being reminded that they are the dog who caught the car. Harris and the Democrats want to restore women as full citizens in charge of their own bodies and the GOP wants to ban abortion and birth control. |
It’s like you don’t understand how federalism works? Roe v. Wade was federal protection of abortion in the first trimesters. So, when Roe was overturned by Donald Trump’s SCOTUS picks, federal protection of abortion in the first trimesters went away. Harris would not pick SCOTUS judges that supported that ruling, and a liberal court (or even a moderate court, rumor is Roberts was deeply uncomfortable…) could restore those protections. That means anyone who cared about this issue will vote for Harris. |
1-2 ectopic pregnancies in every 100 pregnancies is not rare. And women are dying of this in forced birther states everyday. “Exceptions for life of the mother” is a lie. |
maybe we should agree to only post the link to that thread, instead of engaging with the arguments. It seems like every political thread is about abortion these days, and I’m kind of over it |
The horse is out of the barn. The laws are passed and SCOTUS has said it’s done. Asking as a Dem voter: what are the Dems going to actually do? What is the first 100 days plan, here? Because if the whacko R’s don’t win the top job this election, they will in another cycle. So what are the Dems actually going to do in the executive and legislative branches to protect what little we have left? I’m not even asking for them to return to Roe. I’m asking how they will govern effectively to protect what’s left, including gay marriage. Haven’t seen an answer yet. |
I don’t care what you or Trump say on behalf of “most Americans”. I vote for MY daughters. |
