I think another one might have been a police officer? The reason you don’t hear about these particular kinds of scandals about men is that nobody wants to pay them to take their clothes off. If people did, they definitely would. There’s nothing inherently bad about taking your clothes off or being sexual for money. For me, the only bad thing is having the poor judgment not to hide your face if you don’t want to get caught and really not to run for office because there are so many prudes who will use it against you.

We literally have a pro life OB running for state senator who has won many times. THAT makes me want to barf.

Why does this make you want to barf?
Is it so inconceivable that an OB might just be pro-life? Do you find it repulsive that an OB might not want to kill the unborn?

Because an OB will come face to face all the time with wanted pregnancies that go wrong. Look at the lawsuits with those poor women in Texas. Do you want that in Virginia?

Jesus Christ, is the bar so low now that people who don’t want their elected officials having sex online for money are “prudes”?

Actually, I really wouldn’t care if the person also had the credentials to govern. But I would much prefer a candidate disclose up front because I know there are so many people who would disagree.

Outside of prudishness, what is so terrible about sex? I feel grosser seeing the Trump sons displaying animals they killed for fun. You can like kinky sex and be well educated and smart. You can be a sex worker and be a lawyer. They aren’t mutually exclusive.

But I also know there are lots of people who are yucked out by it. She didn’t show good judgment, but doing what she did doesn’t make her immoral or gross or even unqualified. Her poor judgment may make her unqualified.

This is such a disingenuous take.

Literally no one has a problem with this woman having sex with her husband. It’s the live-streaming it in exchange for cash that’s the problem. If she has such incredibly poor judgment to do this, how can you trust her to govern your district?

There is nothing wrong with sex between consenting adults.
There are still tens of millions of Americans who believe that sex is private. Between two people in the privacy of their home. When someone makes their sex life public by performing online and soliciting money for doing so, many believe that is akin to prostitution. And, there are still tens of millions who believe that prostitution is immoral.
Clearly she is not proud of what she has done, given that she has worked to get the footage scrubbed and is threatening lawsuits.

I question not only her judgment, but also the way she would vote on issues... especially those that involve the protection of children, given that she doesn't seem particularly interested in protecting her own children.

Now, I am stunned by her lack of critical thinking skills. But, I suppose that makes her a perfect politician. Vote blue, no matter who.

Correct. Abortion and gun control.

Speak for yourself. My primary issue for this election is the border.
DP

Since this is a race for state delegate, do you mean the border with North Carolina or the border with Maryland?

NP here and I choose MD, because my ILs are there. Get that wall up.

No matter who? Enjoy the hell you created. If you vote blue you should be required to house a family of bussed illegals or 2.

She’s huge, buff, she is so manly looking. The extra testosterone can be blamed for the high sex drive. She is a dog. Just gross.

Only among a certain subset of LWNJs, who will call anyone a "prude" if they don't support graphic sex in all permutations. It's comical.

Apparently the key to political success these days in our newfound climate of body and sex positivity, the me too movement, breaking the glass ceiling and what have you is to live stream a sex show for cash to the public, run for office, have the video discovered (even though it was publicly released) then cry afoul and that you were “violated” by the release of the video (even though it was publicly live streamed for money no less) and see your polling increase.

I have no issue with this couple live streaming their sex act for money. I just find the feigned outrage comical. Especially when the candidates spouse is a lawyer. This isn’t some grand battle over the perceived attack on women’s right or whatever. This is a couple that filmed themselves banging, for money, on the internet, and got caught. I guess no press is bad press. I am just saddened there are some many impressionable women out there who want to champion this whole thing like it’s akin to the suffragette movement. That’s fking stupid. Learn to reason.

How do we not know they aren’t just raging voyeur, narcissists who wanted this release and knew it would get them noticed? How do we not know that.

They might love this entire thing.
