URGENT HELP NEEDED-MCPS DID NOT RECEIVE HGC ELEMENTARY PROGRAM APPLICA-TEST IS NEXT WEEK-WHAT TO DO

When I didn't get the letter for test date for my DC, i contacted my school to find out if my DC is taking the test. She said yes. But yesterday, she said my DC's name is not in the list. It looks like MCPS never received my application. Test is next week. I don't understand what should I do. My DC is very upset.
Any suggestion in this regard will be highly appreciated.

Good luck, OP. I hope you kept a copy of your application. They said at the big meeting that everyone would get an email confirmation before the end of November (2015) if the application was received and to call them if you did not receive the email.

Hm.. that's new. When my DC applied two years ago, we didn't get an email notification that the application was received.

Maybe they got tired of everybody calling (as I did) to ask whether the application was received.

OP, I understand why you are upset, but why is DC upset? Are you turning this into a huge deal?

I had the same questions when I read the initial post.

I didn't get any email confirmation but received the letter regarding the test date.
