| What did they say? |
|
OP, I hope you have some form of documentation. When DS applied to the HGC 2 years ago, I was given a stamped letter to prove my application had been received. Same for when DS applied to the magnet middle school program. You need to be vigilant about these things. Good luck. |
| This is OP. I have older kid who is already in HGC. He is upset because he wants to go there and it looks like he is not having the opportunit. After calling they said they didn't receive the application form. But i have the copy of it. I don't know what is going to happen. |
Do you have proof of having mailed it to them? Return Receipt? |
| Good luck, OP. I hope everything works out. |
Immigrants from Eastern Europe and their little "geniuses"... Nothing's going to happen, OP. Your precious little snowflake will go back to his elementary school. Not the end of the world. |
|
This is what happens when you don't request the stamped postcard and/or call right away to confirm that everything is in order (not your school, the AIE, of course!). It's on you, OP. |
| Seems like this will be rectified given that it is before the testing date and OP has a copy. |
OP does not have the proof that AEI received her application (on time or otherwise). So no, it may perhaps not be rectified, unless they can find her application, which was probably not filed correctly. |
|
Shut your ugly mouth people (you know whom I'm referring to).
The test is not over. There is a hope. |
| Good luck OP. So did they say you are basically out of luck? How had you sent in the application? I sent ours certified mail receipt. Try not to beat yourself up. I like to think everything happens for a reason. |
| If the office has teacher recommendations then OP has a chance. |
| The teacher recs are triggered by the application so that is unlikely. |
| What's the final verdict? |
| I would guess no. Besides the postcard in MS & HS- I ALWAYS sent mine return receipt requested. As a parent they should have been dilegent & weren't. Oh well. |
