There is nothing by any other news source that makes these statements about Phillip, which of course are the most gut-wrenching. I, for one, am not going to believe the perpetrators went this far unless there is hard evidence released by the police that corroborates it. This sounds like horrible rumor to me.

Are you talking about Philip's torture? This information has been out there for a long time. The police have suggested that this has been the case since early on.

It's been in the press as leaks from the cops. What "document" are you looking for? There is no place for it in most legal documents we have seen related to this case so far. Most of the legal docs are minimum facts only to serve their purpose.

I will revise: maybe there is a new term introduced now, but I'm not sure what else people were imagining when the cops said this child was tortured. We are talking about torture.

Please let's just think of Philip the way he is in the photos shared by his family via the funeral home's website (the link to which, I'm sorry, I can't dig up right now): The photos that show him smiling, holding his father's hand, hugging his mom, playing with the little turtle on the skateboard, enjoying a sunny day, and so on. We owe this child that much. He had 10 brief but unusually charmed, happy years on this earth, in this life. The rumors about what his last few hours forced him to endure - I can't let the images of that horror define him. He had a twinkly little smile, and THAT is what I want to think of when I hear or read his name.

We already knew what the police reported that Philip had to endure. Some reporters might release unsubstantiated updates for their own cynical reasons (i.e. click bait). Shame on those reporters and news outlets.

I'm not all unicorns and rainbows, by the way. I want the perps to go down, and to get shanked in prison. Ideally, the punishment would be to do to the perps what they did to their victims. But our justice system is more civilized than that.

this isn't new,. They poured gas on all of them and tried to set them on fire, but they started the fire in the child's room so he is the only one who burned. We don't know alive. I imagine that the child was beaten and mostly dead like his parents and housekeeper before the gasoline was poured. Why do anything different. horror still. And I don't know about teh torture. The reporter is only repeating news that is out there, but his body was burned so badly, I'm not sure that the news that si out there is more than speculation. I'm clinging to this hope, anything.

How can you determine the extent of "torture" when the body is burned "beyond recognition"?

Sorry, my question got into the text of previous post...

How can you determine the extent of "torture" when body was burned "beyond recognition"?

Can we stop bringing up old news that was discussed and reported 100 pages ago?

Has Ficker officially signed on as the attorney for the suspect currently in custody? I haven't read anything else about it. I'm assuming the suspect isn't talking which makes the work of the police and detectives more difficult.
