Trump wins at SCOTUS more than he loses. |
That’s one step on the way to SCOTUS not the final word on this - you realize that right? |
You think the Supreme Court is going to rule against their previous order? |
There are two cases. Abrego's case. The contempt case. That's why he still has jurisdiction. It is the contempt portion only. The Supreme Court has held that you MUST abideby a court order even if that order is later founf to be invalid by a court of appeals. You may not decide to ignore the order and hope you win on appeal. This is black letter law. |
For something this basic, about the general powers of the court, the government is going to lose. There is zero chance the SC will say that the government can ignore court orders. The proper remedy is to appeal them. You realize that right? |
If he is in El Salvador because the US is paying for him to be jailed there, then the court is giving orders about contracts not foreign policy. |
What if the US is not paying him, and they just deported him as an illegal immigrant from El Salvador? He was not on the plane with the Venezuelans. |
If the same thing happened to a US citizen, we would have the same situation. The courts cannot dictate the President engage in foreign policy. |
It is three years now. They should move it back to seven. |
For a regular client. For the President when it involves a court stepping on his executive powers, not so simple. |
It’s batshit crazy to believe that the president can secretly ship someone out of the country against their will and rights, then refuse to return them, saying it’s foreign policy. Listen to yourself. |
is there any chance this guy really has ties to MS-13? If he does we are f'd. I really hope this claim was fully investigated before democrats started doubling down on the situation. |

Terrorists dont always have the same "due process" rights as a run of the mill unlawfully present alien. |
