GFR Falling apart?

GFR was never anything serious, lets be real. All the actually talented players play for McLean anyway.

So you think it's right for the ED to make deals and "unions" with other clubs and pay ridiculous amounts of money, and get kick-back from that as well because why not?
You're supposed to be the head of a non-profit organisation, not find ways to steal people's money for your benefit.

Dear GFRSC Members,

I am writing to inform you that I have officially resigned from my position on the Board of Directors of Great Falls–Reston Soccer Club, effective immediately.

As I step away, I do so with optimism about the dedication of our community. Tryout registrations have returned to last year’s levels of approximately 1,200 players. This momentum reflects the continued passion and commitment of our families, coaches, and staff.

I want to extend my sincere thanks to our coaching and administrative teams. Your tireless work — often behind the scenes — has supported hundreds of players, guided families through uncertain times, and helped sustain the heart of this club. You’ve made a real difference in our players’ lives.

My decision to resign comes after deep reflection on recent governance developments within the Club. I can no longer, in good conscience, continue to serve on a Board that, in my view, has failed to uphold the standards of fiduciary responsibility, transparency, and nonprofit stewardship that our members deserve.

Specifically, my resignation is based on serious concerns regarding:

The integrity of Board governance and independence;
Apparent tolerance of conflicts of interest that jeopardize the Club’s mission;
Actions that risk the Club’s nonprofit compliance, financial stability, and public trust.

I am proud to have served our players, families, and community, and my decision to resign reflects my commitment to protecting the integrity and long-term viability of GFRSC. The Club’s mission — serving the youth of Great Falls and Reston through soccer — must always remain the central priority.

I encourage all members to stay informed, engaged, and vocal in ensuring that GFRSC remains a transparent, accountable, and community-driven organization. The future of the Club rests with the strength and vigilance of its membership. Your voices matter, and your active participation is essential to preserving the values that make GFRSC a special place for our youth and families.

That was an exaggeration, NM got $480,000 for all the amazing things he does for 3-4 teams he coaches.

You are talking about rumors, nothing that has ever been proven. If you don't see how hard RS works for the community and are just making these statements based on what you've heard, you should be ashamed of yourself. If you have proof, please share. As a non profit, everything they should be available to the public so go ahead and share this information and your source for it.

If this guy got into GFR's email system and sent this out at the same moment he resigned, making wild accusations and defaming people I would imagine he's just opened himself up to a lawsuit himself. There has been absolutely nothing but allegations made about GFR. As a board member freshly resigned to send this out is WILD and FAR more damaging to the club right now than anything RS or anyone on the board has done to date.
