This story just gets better and better. After talking with the CEO and a board member of the company that owns Business Insider, Ackman did not get the relief he is looking for. So today he published an epically-long screed on X summarizing his side of the story (“the facts”) and ending with the demands below. I swear this stuff is comic gold. And it provides a lot of insight into how the super wealthy and entitled think.

Note: AS stands for the company that owns BI. (It’s in Germany, I believe). Michael is a typo for Mathias, the CEO. Henry is the major shareholder on the board.

What Needs to Happen Now

1. AS needs to immediately depublish all of the Neri Oxman plagiarism stories

2. AS, its board, and its management need to issue a public apology for defaming my wife and causing her severe emotional stress and reputational damage to her and to her new company OXMAN.

3. Michael needs to get on a plane and come to meet me in New York immediately.

4. Michael, Henry, and I need to sit down tomorrow and resolve this mess so that:

This never happens again to anyone ever.

A settlement fund should be created to compensate all those who have been victimized by BI for the losses and harm they have suffered.

Whoever is responsible for this mess should held accountable, and the punishment should be severe.

A mechanism is put in place where this never happens again to anyone.

The proceeds of any settlement that Neri receives should go to her company OXMAN so she can accelerate the incredible work she does. Already $70 million has been invested in her launch, but more capital will help.

The time for this madness to end is now.

I believe he just said this morning he is blowing a large sum of money on an “institute” with handpicked experts to come up with a new modern definition of plagiarism (all clearly motivated to absolve his wife). Hahahahahaha

She must have god-level p#ssy.

There’s definitely some kink at play here and I want to know what it is.

As a woman, I wouldn't put it quite like that but I agree.

Neri’s work is really about how her ideas manifest in the physical world across scales.
You need to see it and touch it to understand her work.

I feel sorry for Neri Oxman.

If she has any sense in her head, she’s paying attention to how this man has used the excuse of antisemitism on campus to come absolutely unhinged and let loose with his destructiveness for months now. I’ve represented people like Bill, including his close business associates, in high-stakes litigation for over 20 years and their lives revolve around manufacturing enemies and attacking.

This kind of narcissistic, amoral, utterly ruthless, borderline personality can be useful when he’s fighting battles for you, but inevitably, that free-floating, boundless aggression runs out of enemies outside and turns on those close by. Not if, but WHEN, he turns on her, it will be a bloodbath and he will go after her with the same singleminded determination to destroy. He will make her life hell and yet might fight not to divorce her because this type of person likes cutting off avenues of escape and then victimizing the same target over and over with no respite.

Now is the time for her to come up with an aggressive divorce strategy. She needs to play nice and direct his impulses outward while searching out his weaknesses so she can strong arm him to the settlement table when he does the 180 and goes after her. I give it 5 more years tops…sooner, if his insanity right now harms his finances or her venture is a dud.

Yup.

If she had any sense, she's calling Bill's first wife for advice.

I bet you dollars to donuts his first wife doesn’t take that call. It’s not because she has anything against Neri. Wife#1 did a 20-year sentence with Bill. She finally got out with a settlement that she patiently strategized for and then fought like hell to get (not an accident she timed the divorce for when he was distracted with fighting to save his failing hedge fund and had a new victim lined up…even though that lady eventually ran off too). The odds of her putting herself back in Bill’s crosshairs now that she’s finally gotten her life back are nonexistent.

Neri’s on her own. No one in their orbit is going to take Bill on for her or even risk being suspected as having helped her because they know him a lot better than she does.

She should have asked questions when a decent-looking billionaire wasn’t beating off the ladies and needed matchmaking friends to find him a new wife.

She’s probably calling the PR team (which she had before marriage to Ackman) that placed her in the media headlines and had her bearding for celebs to raise her profile.

We know that billionaires do not like it when they don't get their way, don't we? Maybe Trump should give him some pointers.
