Yes, how "moderate" are they. |
Wut? Youngkin staked his political future on winning R control of the legislature. When he fails to do that he will be viewed as a loser and his stock fails. |
No he didn’t and it fundamentally makes zero sense. All Youngkin needs to do is prevent an outcome that can be spun as a voter rebuke. Preserving the status quo works perfectly well for him. VA Democrats in the other hand have invested a lot in taking back control so the status quo for them would be a huge failure. |
Lol. Already with the revisionist history. He’s been all in on this race and its implications for his future for months. https://www.washingtonpost.com/dc-md-va/2023/06/21/virginia-primary-elections-youngkin-results/ https://www.axios.com/2023/05/22/glenn-youngkin-us-president-2024 Of course, his political judgment is … shaky. Remember this gem? https://thehill.com/homenews/sunday-talk-shows/3722095-youngkin-midterm-results-will-be-wake-up-call-for-biden/ Oops. Today will be another sober splash of cold water on his ambitions. Vote blue, no matter who. Early and often. |
They will prevent the religious extremists from banning/restricting abortion. |
+1. Please vote D for state senate and delegate to keep abortion legal in the Commonwealth. If you want to vote R for all the local stuff, have at it. |
Explain how a 15 week limit is a "ban?" 15 weeks is what most of the developed nations in the world recognize. |
Because the 20 week anatomy scan happens at 20 weeks. Recently, the important tests mostly happen earlier now, so there are fewer surprises at the 20 week anatomy scan but sometimes they still show up. I take it you have never had a baby, your partner has never had a baby? So you are unfamiliar with the 20 week anatomy scan? |
Nobody believes that's where you will stop. Nobody with a brain anyway. |
|
At least the one issue voters invading this thread represent a minority of voters writ large.
The economy and inflation will drive most people's decisions at the polls today, and Biden is doing little to help state Dems. |
Denial isn't a river in Egypt. |
DP here. We shall see. In our 4 year cycle, this is the worst of the years for voter turnout. Only the most aware/committed will vote today (on either side.) Decisions are made by the people who show up, not by the actual majority opinion. |
They can’t even get all the Rs to get behind 15 weeks, get real |
That's what they said about the Supreme Court. That we didn't need to worry about it. That it was "settled law." We all saw what happened there. I'm not opening the door for it. Nope nope nope. Fool me twice, shame on me. |
