I am not surprised, Dems overplayed their hand campaigning on abortion. Yes, it is a very important issue, but most people are not getting abortions all the time. Only around 25% of women have an abortion in their lifetime. People do however buy groceries every week and worry about the safety of themselves/children all the time. Abortion is a very salient issue, but inflation, crime, and immigration are more important to most voters. |
What an idiotic comment. This only gets more important over time as the bodies of women stack up. Look at other countries who backtracked after enough women died. Our reckoning is coming, but stupid white women in thus country will have to learn the hard way. |
This is the truth. Most people care more about inflation and crime than abortion. Just because you think it’s stupid does not mean it is inaccurate. It’s also unwise to trash talk white women if Dems want to win because they make up a large portion of the electorate. |
Every single one of these cases that gets promoted turns out to be something else. |
You are lying. |
And tell me, how expensive are unwanted pregnancies? You and yours will find out the hard way. Do you want to know when crime really dropped? 20 years after Roe v. Wade. |
Like the raped, pregnant 10 year old in Ohio? |
Yes, this is common knowledge and I’m not disputing the relationship between abortion access and crime rates. However, Dems need to internalize the fact that many voters do not rank abortion as a primary concern. |
The problem is that miscarriage and abortion require the same healthcare so you also have to include the 20% of women who have miscarriages. And increasingly, they will need to worry about being investigated and possibly jailed or something that was completely out of their control, or have their travel restricted or privacy violated. This is not a small number of women, considering how common pregnancy is. Over a decade of so you’re talking tens of millions of women who would miscarry or need an abortion. |
+1 Republicans live in a land of lies. |
+1 It will take a few white women dying for the stupids to take notice. |
“Only 25% of half the population”, that’s actually a huge number. People don’t think they’ll need an abortion until they actually do (including miscarriage care). However I knew it just wasn’t that important for many voters. |
national abortion ban is on the table if people don't understand, like this PP, the ramifications, well, we are in for a ride, and not a good one. |
