All those deals must be falling apart - they will worm their way back into the firm.
There is zero reason for Meghan to be there.

There are two concrete claims in that article amidst a bunch of sensationalized assumptions

1) Meghan will be at the unveiling, which seems like a good and normal thing
2) Lilibet will not be making the trip, which to me is actually a little surprising

Huh? The title of the article says Meghan is not going.

Well, in something I find ENTIRELY unsurprising the ENTIRE CONTENTS of that article has changed since I read it an hour ago. Because whatever they published was corrected almost immediately because they made it up.

No joke, an hour ago that article said those two things.

I don't think they made the story up. I think this was a trial balloon to see if the public would be onboard with it. They took a look at the massive number of negative comments and noped out.

A) Everything related H&M on the Daily Fail has been negative since 2017.

B) They are the only members of the royal family that consistently receive 5,000 - 10,000 comments on every single article.

So no. It was clearly the DF running with an unsourced rumor, as they've been known to do, and it was corrected quickly. Just not before they had it up for an hour or so.

Really - who thinks a mother is going to leave her three-week-old NEWBORN behind across an ocean and a 15-hour flight away for any reason? Let alone a statue unveiling that will take multiple days. That's the kind of idiocy the Daily Fail is running with.

Right, she would take the newborn with her duh! highjack the statue event for herself and baby - it's obvious at this point how she operates. But once again she is a coward.

Make up your mind - she's going and she's going to steal the attention off every royal family member - born and married in. Or she's not going and she's a coward for not crossing the ocean with a newborn.

You sound like you don't want her to go, but you also want her to go? Which is it?

This is one of those situations where she can test the waters. If she goes she will be ridiculed as a bad mother for leaving her newborn. If she does not go she has an excuse - newborn but Harry getting free of her and having private talks with his family for a few days is not in her best interest so that leaves her in a pickle.

You didn't answer the question - what exactly do you want her to do? Is there anything that would make you happy?

I would think Meghan would have wanted to invite at least one of them (if for no other reason than to keep Doria company).

It was bizarre to see her mother sitting alone at the wedding.

It really was bizarre. You'd think she would have at least invited a few relatives on her mom's side to avoid how weird it looked. Her guests were literally her mom and famous people she didn't actually know.

Yeah. I always liked Meghan (less so now, as she seems so whiny) but the red flag to me at her wedding was that she seemed to have no friends. No cousins, high school friends, college roommates from Northwestern, no good buddies who were actresses, just the Canadian stylist lady.

This was proven false and has already been debunked in this here thread... again, the level of misinformation around Meghan is bizarre.

+1 And easy google search provides the guest list and the relationship of the guest to either the bride or the groom. The list I found list several long time friends of the bride. But I’m not going to spoon feed you, you’ll have to look for yourself. If you got time to spread misinformation, maybe spend a little time gathering facts.

The obsessed haters are hoping that by simply repeating certain mistruths ad infinitum, they'll start sounding a bit more like the truth. The sad reality is their tactic actually works. Misinformation is rampant in today's social media-driven infoscape.

I think we all know how disingenuous this "fact-checking" bs is. Picking apart stories for minutiae to prove that other's opinions are wrong is just well, wrong. Snopes does this constantly, find one detail to harp about as not being correct and then state the entire theory, article or premise is incorrect. You can argue about tiny details and not the big picture where everyone else is at.

You seem genuinely a bit dim.

Not interested in that - this is game theory mixed with soap opera. Interested in how it plays out and if Meghan will be true to form and play her usual tricks.

You seem genuinely a bit argumentative. A bit hall monitor-ish and controlling.

Former H&M supporter here. Not a fan of the BRF. What turned me off was the book. She’s an American living in the US. Why use the Duchess title? It seems flashy and gross. That’s what did it for me. I am still not clear why people are so personally hateful and have the long back and forth debates on this thread but I feel like the entire BRF is a hot mess and H&M are just as bad. Luckily, I’m not on any social media so I guess my exposure to their news is more limited.

She just had a baby. I don't really believe there was any expectation of her going. What happens when their kids become older? Will Harry still be going alone, or with the kids? Will she attend because I don't think she's going to be comfortable after her big O interview. Did she not foresee the consequences of her interview with the RF?

I think pp meant Meghan is pretty controlling as narcissist people are. The "tricks" refer to all the reasons she gave to get Harry away from his family, and leave the UK. She may feel insecure while Harry is in their midst. They may try to deprogram him from the Meghan cult.

Looks like Meghan is being called a liar. "recollection may vary" in other words they are nicely disputing her claims:

You sound like you don't want her to go, but you also want her to go? Which is it?

This is one of those situations where she can test the waters. If she goes she will be ridiculed as a bad mother for leaving her newborn. If she does not go she has an excuse - newborn but Harry getting free of her and having private talks with his family for a few days is not in her best interest so that leaves her in a pickle.

You didn't answer the question - what exactly do you want her to do? Is there anything that would make you happy?

Not interested in that - this is game theory mixed with soap opera. Interested in how it plays out and if Meghan will be true to form and play her usual tricks.
What tricks, Harry is going alone.

I think pp meant Meghan is pretty controlling as narcissist people are. The "tricks" refer to all the reasons she gave to get Harry away from his family, and leave the UK. She may feel insecure while Harry is in their midst. They may try to deprogram him from the Meghan cult.

She has good reason to LOL. Harry and Kate were chatting warmly at Philip’s funeral.

Looks like Meghan is being called a liar. "recollection may vary" in other words they are nicely disputing her claims:

And yet, if you actually read the article, it doesn't say anything to that effect; in fact, the only person quoted in here is a "royal commentator." Come on, people. At least try a little.

Par for the course - ‘royal source’, ‘palace source’, ‘royal friend’ always have something shady to say in a tabloid but when it comes to testifying in court under oath they scatter like roaches.

This is an overstatement. Anonymous sources are quoted all the time in the press wrt the local and federal government, police departments, etc.

How is that an overstatement? False claims and rumors are completely rampant when it comes to Meghan. That's not new. Someone giving their opinion on a news story is not the same thing as a journalist citing an anonymous source due to security, privacy, or legal concerns.
