Thank you for saying this. As someone who lost Joe Ryan, I can say his life mattered and he was a victim as was Christine. My heart goes out to the little girl also. However Joe and Christine are the murder victims here, and are both dead. No one should be victim blaming at all, and to do so adds more pain. Those of us that lost either person are hurting, and miss them. The justice system, police, and prosecutors are working to put blame and serve justice where it should be, on the murderers. When you post on this message board it is public. So if you think for one second the friends and family are unaffected by your cruel comments you are wrong. It is morally sick and wrong to suggest that both the Christine and Joe's deaths don't matter, and that a little girl who still gets to have a life is the only victim. I gotta say shut up already, and keep your mean comments and low intelligence to yourself! The killers clearly are psychopathic and it has zero to do with sex at all or love. He had been wanting to kill his wife for years or get rid of her. As he said this to other women he had affairs with. He met the perfect mentally ill, or evil person in Juliana, and he carried it out with her help. |
I feel for the child just as much as anyone, but for that previous poster to essentially say that the child is the only real victim in this is just plain wrong. I wonder what prompted that diatribe? Whoever wrote that did not like Christine being referred to as a victim in the post directly above it. Whoever wrote that is sick. |
That they are. Right CSDG? |
I’ve been in the position of going online to find out more about a murdered family member. This blog isn’t the problem. Discussing and speculating on something so horrible is human nature. With the advent of the internet and anonymous posting, folks can share their innermost thoughts, as hurtful as they are. This is a fact of life. She won’t be the first child of a murder victim to go online and see people’s thoughts. This literally happens everyday. |
+1 I watched the movie Red Rooms last night and it reminded me of this thread. There are many true crime junkies out there and each get their kicks in different ways. This thread tends to get very sanctimonious. In my opinion, the people who care most about the daughter are the ones NOT posting about her parents anonymously on the internet. |
I don’t think you could come off more sanctimonious. lol |
I wasn't exempting myself from the critique. I'm not proud of anything I've posted on this thread. |
Unfortunately, Brenda decided that his daughter wasn’t more important than anybody else’s and he would go ahead and ruin her life so because of him she’ll be able to read all of this bullshit and all the truth, which is probably what she really needs to see. I’m sorry your dad is a monster young one. Your mom loved you endlessly. |
This case was covered on the True Crime with Kendall Rae podcast.

+1. More mentally unstable detached from humanity 20-somethings |
What was the verdict or final investigation results? |
Keep dreaming. |
I haven't read the entire 300+ page thread and I think it's terrible that two people died a violent death.. but I don't know about you, but for me the most jarring fact in this story was the setup. So this guy went to a total stranger's house early in the morning on a regular Tuesday thinking he'd have some kinky sex while the husband is away?? Do people really do that?
I must be leading a real boring life but wow. |
More jarring than a father and his au pair/mistress putting his daughter in the basement with an iPad while they murdered her mommy and a stranger intending to frame said stranger for the killing? |
I miss my friend Joe. I hope he gets justice. |
