How likely for save act to pass senate?

If this passes, it’s another step away from protecting privacy rights. It also undermines federalism and massively expands the federal government.

Surprising the GOP would support this given its virulent rejection of HR1 “for the people” in 2021 on the grounds that it would…. wait for it…. federalize elections! But now it’s a problem???

Strange how the party that won the House, Senate and White House is claiming widespread voter fraud.

You change your drivers license and passport at the same time so all of your ID's match.

That doesn’t change the name on your birth certificate. If you do not have a passport, the SAVE Act would require you to show a drivers license and a birth certificate to register to vote. If the name on the birth certificate doesn’t match the drivers license (like because you got married), it’s a problem according to the law.

Just keep your name. You can answer to whatever name you want whenever you want, but officially just keep your own name.

Ever heard of a marriage certificate?
This is not hard.

Then make men present their marriage verification if their wives changed their names so men can vote

I guess women will just have to stop changing their name.

It won't pass and every time Democrats win an election, Republicans will scream "voter fraud!! That's why they were against requiring proof of citizenship to vote! They want illegals to vote so they can win!" And all the MAGA idiots eat it up.

They only claim voter fraud when they lose. And the only way they can win is by making it difficult for the majority of people to vote

+1. Putting in measures that disproportionately disenfranchise only women is discriminatory.

But if Republicans can’t focus on made up problems like transgender people using bathrooms and voter fraud by non-citizens, what will they do?

Or getting married at all. I would definitely not have kids under this regime and in the current state of healthcare.

The Justice Department has struggled to meet White House demands to prosecute noncitizen voters as President Trump’s claims of voter fraud lack legal support.

Efforts to investigate have yielded few results, with investigations closing without charges.

Maybe because there isn't widespread voter fraud?

Just curious, MAGA folk - What happens if you are successful in eliminating birthright citizenship? At that point, a birth certificate will not suffice. You'll have to prove citizenship of your parentage? What?
