The kids that targeted their elementary schools in the past experienced serious trauma at those schools. My heart goes out to the family and the community but it makes me worry about Bradley Hills and what went on there. Bullying? Abuse?

What makes you think everyone found out the perpetrator? It hasn’t been reported in the press and I have no idea who it is. Do you know if they found any guns at his house? That would affect my view of the situation but I continue to think this kid needs a lot of mental health support. Not adult jail.

DS at a different MCPS HS told me some news he heard about this boy that is incredibly disturbing. I don’t know if it’s true but if it is, this is beyond juvenile services. He should be charged as an adult. I don’t know why the police aren’t releasing more facts about the investigation. It would quell the rumors if they are untrue. I do feel very sorry for his parents.

You know an arrest was made. That seems to be all the information that anyone actually needs. Unless we plan on organizing a lynch mob.

You clearly haven't been spending the week educating your elementary schooler on school shootings because they are under a threat. It is actually pretty pertinent information about where he lives, etc. if you're considering risk.

He does get brought up almost every time there is a mass school shooting...which seems to be like 4 times a year now

Yes, everyone in Bradley Hills knows who he is and where he lives. However, they’re not going to discuss this on a public forum as it isn’t helpful to the case. FWIW, I’m really glad he’s locked up at the moment.

Any more information on this? We are in the neighborhood and are hoping that he doesn't have friends who are now going to carry things out on his behalf or inspire copycats.
