Do you even hear yourself? Of course a college showcase is designed for the colleges. That’s the entire purpose of it. The league exists as a college recruiting platform. I absolutely want these events to be designed for the colleges. What are you even saying?

It could be a heckva lot better, for the kids. That's what I'm saying.

What changes would you make to improve it for the players?

To make sure the field is in a playable condition and at the very least above freezing temp. Playing in freezing temp on an icy field is dangerous and irresponsible on the league part.

This is the model league or the standard for girls?

You are blaming the league for the weather? ECNL chose KC because that’s where ncaa chose to have their college cup. You really don’t know anything about this.

Ecnl got a great deal on fields. Like selling ice pops outside in winter. Not a lot of demand, prices go down. Hence st Louis and Kansas in December. Ecnl 1 parents 0

Even IMA College Soccer guy gave ECNL a thumbs down for picking this location AND time of year!

And yet all of us will be there again next year if that’s the location. That’s what a near monopoly allows.

Which is why you want a rival that's a viable alternative. Makes both better.

I see it as a good way to test your kid’s dedication and commitment. If they can take this trip, endure the cold, and not just not complain but actually thrive on it, then they are committed enough to continue spending the money on it. If not you probably should reevaluate.

No it won’t happen again. This is the second year in a row. Kids can’t play well if they are so cold.
