I have heard the story but will not post details however this is not what happened. There is a victim and a perpetrator. Not two boys goofing around. For the sake of the victim, I think it's time to put the topic to rest on here. |
| If there is a single perpetrator why wasn’t he kicked off the team rather than canceling the entire season? |
I think both happened. |
Squealed? He was a victim of a sexual assault you a$$hole. |
1. I was responding to the question about "thanks to one kid." And, a "squealer" is not necessarily the victim. 2. When I asked the question, we did not know what the accusation was. There were pages of speculation. We still do not know--except for what someone has posted here on DCUM. Honestly, if it was only two kids--perp and victim--I don't understand cancelling the season. |
Squeal implies that it was wrong to tell - it has a negative connotation. |
It was not only two kids. From what I understand, it was a hazing incident that went too far. |
| Why is there even hazing? |
| Season was not cancelled. Played a game yesterday vs. Chantilly. |
That seems more plausible. In that case, shutting down the season also sends a message to coaches they need to tell their kids early and often such behavior won't be tolerated and could jeopardize an entire season. |
So were kids kicked off the team? |
Good to hear. |
No, they were made starters as a reward for good leadership. Everyone must buy in to the system. |
