So, is it a kid who did the deed (whatever that is) or the kid who squealed/accused?

Squealed? He was a victim of a sexual assault you a$$hole.

1. I was responding to the question about "thanks to one kid." And, a "squealer" is not necessarily the victim.
2. When I asked the question, we did not know what the accusation was. There were pages of speculation. We still do not know--except for what someone has posted here on DCUM.

Honestly, if it was only two kids--perp and victim--I don't understand cancelling the season.

It was not only two kids. From what I understand, it was a hazing incident that went too far.

That seems more plausible. In that case, shutting down the season also sends a message to coaches they need to tell their kids early and often such behavior won't be tolerated and could jeopardize an entire season.

So were kids kicked off the team?

No, they were made starters as a reward for good leadership. Everyone must buy in to the system.

Wonder if this whole thing was just a rumor.

Have you asked your son? That is usually the best source.

Not necessarily. A similar incident in another non-FCPS high school I'm aware caused them to cancel their JV program this year and the rumors of what the kids said happened ended up being completely different than the official statement by the prosecutor (kid's family is pressing charges).

PP. Found an article for the incident I was talking about above. https://www.dnronline.com/news/public_safety/crime/three-page-county-students-charged-with-assault-involving-jv-football/article_95498acf-8a70-53c3-9053-e1170958f359.htm
