| Brian Regan. The comic. Several years ago my friend's sister lost her husband tragically young leaving 3 young kids. The oldest son was a huge Brian Regan fan and used to listen to Brian Regan CDs with his dad. Brian was coming to town and my friend got a special waver to allow for his nephew to go to the comedy club even though he was about 13 at the time. When the show as over - and Brian was like always awesome - the club's manager came over and said that Brian had heard about the situation and wanted to meet everyone backstage. We all went backstage where we saw Brian sitting at a dingy table alone eating a Subway sandwich. "Welcome to the glitz and glamor of Hollywood!" he boomed as he stood up and shook everyone's hand. He was super nice to everyone and gave my friend's nephew special attention. Total class act. |
He bought be a drink at the bar after a comedy show back in the 90s and we chatted for a bit. |

Amazing! She seemed like an exceptional lady. When she passed away the Washington Post put her on the cover with her famous quote, "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." It sounds like she lived her own advice. This is one of the wisest things I have ever read and I keep a copy of the newspaper in my office. |
This. I arrived early to a celebrity event and ignored as should have been case bc was not part of that world. When my “date” arrived and people saw who I was with, suddenly everyone wanted to say hello and meet me in hopes would get them some pull for their next job. It’s a definitely a tough business when have to network for jobs so often if haven’t landed that rare 10 season tv show. |

I'm the PP. It was definitely jarring the first few times when people would quite literally stop talking to me once they knew I wasn't anyone. Kourtney and Kendall Kardashian were actually really nice, especially Kendall. Their sisters? Definitely the type who wanted nothing to do with you if you couldn't do anything for them. |

I met baseball legend Willie Mays when I was a kid. He was very nice. My grandmother was on a train seated next to Billie Burke (Good Witch in the original Wizard of Oz movie). She was apparently very nice & signed a post card that I still have. |
Too bad we weren’t at same party at same time! I will say I was asked after the event who had been nice to me and I instead talked about who I observed being nice to waitstaff and the help when people didn’t think they were being watched as they was more genuine as you said. |
I believe this. He took care of his wife who had Alzheimer's for a long time. That's says a lot about him. |
