Are you saying if there are consistently no parking spaces, you go ahead and stop in the fire lane? |
+1. More lazy people incapable of preparing their own food. |
There are ALWAYS parking spaces. They just might not be as convenient for you. |
The parking lot in the back is relatively pleasant (and isn't even much more of a walk). I didn't realize that parking lot existed until recently. |
seriously! Love how the pp thinks it’s justified because her child goes to public! As if only horrid people opt for private. |
| Ahhh that parking lot makes me RAGE op. Between that and those ridiculous bike lanes on old Georgetown running any kind of errand there is just miserable. |
The back is usually full too. Many spaces were lost to the construction of the apartment building. |

Preprint several letters with a diagram of how to park and the below text. Throw it onto their windshields.
Congratulations! Your vehicle has successfully occupied both a fire lane AND blocked several other cars. What an achievement! You must be exhausted from all that important multitasking - idling your engine, ignoring traffic signs, and teaching the next generation that rules are more like... suggestions. Quick refresher, since the 'NO STOPPING/STANDING/FIRE LANE' sign might be hard to read: - Fire lanes aren't optional VIP parking spots - Your hazard lights don't actually make illegal parking legal I know those 10 extra steps to a real parking space feel like a marathon, but think of it as your good deed for the day - letting emergency vehicles do their job and other peasants access their cars. Warmest Regards, Someone Who Can Read Signs |
| The title made me laugh OP |
The issue is that there aren't always parking spaces in that lot. At some points in the day, the entire lot (Balduccis, back lot, front lot) are all full. You are circling like a shark. I used to go to Solidcore there and I had to keep looking otherwise I'd lose my $ for the class. But that lot is awful. |

It’s perfectly acceptable to use the Fire Lanes to actually load/unload people and items! Chill OP.
In Maryland, "Park" means to halt a vehicle, whether or not it is occupied, other than temporarily when necessary to a) avoid conflict with other traffic or in compliance with the directions of a police officer or traffic control device, or (b) for the purpose of and while actually enaged in loading or unloading property or passengers. |
There is nothing wrong with using a Fire Lane to drop someone else off to grab a food order. Get a new hobby! |
OP, do you need a new hobby? Maybe all of the cheap at home coffee is making you grumpy? |
"Momentarily" standing is legal in Marlyand. Discharging passengers is probably momentarily, but loading/unloading is probably not. https://codelibrary.amlegal.com/codes/montgomerycounty/latest/montgomeryco_md/0-0-0-130827 |
| Yes annoying. Also so entitled and lazy to take your kids to Starbucks before school every morning. Terrible habit to create. |
