Wildwood shopping center. Bethesda. If I ever go to jail this will be why

OP someone is going to die in that parking lot! I say this every time I enter. It’s a combo of very old drivers and people racing to run into SB. For the love of god and safety there needs to be a giant drive through Starbucks nearby.

Agree. I park in the back if I go there for lunch or to pick up lunch.

I mean someone did drive into the fitness store.

Wildwood is next level for parking rage. I will admit that I've let my middle schooler run into Starbucks while pulled over. I promise to park from now on. I'm in a beater SUV and she is a public school kid though.

Huge black SUV owners with private school teens in stupid plaid skirts- the rules apply to you as well. Park your damn car and let your kid walk the 10 steps to pick up their drink and Bethesda Bagel. This is not a school drop off lane. You don't have the right to block traffic while you idle your car under a no stopping/standing/fire lane sign.

And no I'm not jealous, my kid attended a 80k per year undergrad. You just suck.

This is a fake story, everyone knows all the huge private school moms drive WHITE SUVs (seriously, once I parked there and the entire row was white luxury SUVs!)

lol I was thinking the same thing!

Agree OP. I’m a rule follower can’t stand the “rules don’t apply” to me types. They usually couch it with some condescending “you need to calm down” remark trying to justify their selfish behavior.

You need to realize that fully 75%+ of the posters on this forum are the “rules don’t apply to me” types. If you weren’t previously aware of that, you need to be.

Don’t waste your money at Starbucks. The food and sugary drinks are terrible for you and your kids.

Make coffee at home.

I truly don't understand why the mall management doesn't crack down on the double parking esp at the bagel shop. Especially after the car that went through a shop window a few months back. The volume of foot traffic and car traffic makes it really hazardous.

Then again there's so much double parking everywhere you go, much worse since the pandemic with so many delivery services. I have stopped shopping at a nearby Amazon Fresh because it's impossible to get around all the double parked delivery drivers.

Which shop window? I didn't hear about that...

Who said I wasn’t aware? I’ve (embarrassingly) been here (DCUM) 16 years since my oldest was a baby.

I do this, too. The extra steps are good for my health.

One time, a lady in a car started yelling at me. I pretended like I didn't see her and parked in back. I can't recall why -- just that I was scared. Even if I made an error, it wasn't good for her to yell at me.

I am with you OP! The amount of people at wildwood who just pull in the fire lane with their blinkers on is off the charts. Why are these people so lazy? Do they think rules don’t apply to them? It makes me furious.

Its the same parents who are too lazy to feed their kid breakfast before school.

It's only a matter of time before that shopping center becomes a huge mixed-use development.

Yup, Parking in the back is the only way to go at that place.
