Why is she dressing like a teenager?

PP and dress looks great on the model although she’s about 22. This dress is just not suited for a middle aged plus woman.

Also, she’s clearly wearing a strapless bra but this too is the wrong color - she needs a bra that is is her skin tone and it’s not crisp white.

Maybe she borrowed this dress? Jill tends too appear as if she’s wearing someone’s clothes. Is she struggling to find her own style?

Would she want to do Stitch Fix? I have a subscription code to share! 25 percent off of my next fix!

Middle Age?? Lol. She’s 71. That’s waaaaaayyyy too old to be wearing that dress.

OMG I didn't know she was 71. I actually that gets her closer to this being age appropriate, with that "I'm going to wear abusurd stuff and I can own it because I'm too old to care" vibe. (NP)

Unfortunately that strategy has backfired on her. She looked like a fool and was mocked mercilessly for it.

Well if she is still doing it I'm not sure how it has backfired, that seems like even more proof that she's going to wear what she likes because she is too old to care.

Seems a little much for a First Lady, but if he's not running for reelection...

Maybe she was inspired by Sean Connery’s wife, who’s still rocking a bikini at age 93.

Great idea. Maybe Jill will show up in a thong bikini next.

PPs link with old outfits was interesting—much more preppy classic. I don’t know if she’s getting bad advice to try to soften her image to offset the “Doctor Jill” BS controversy. Or whether it’s just that all the shapeless weird prairie florals happening now are not kind to the older shopper. (I’m 50 and o despair of finding things that don’t look like a potato sack with some weird arm attacjed.).

But I also think part of it is likely that she’s just being photographed so much now that they catch her on random things.

I don’t know Jill had breast implants. Those are quite big.

Old lady boobs, just like Nancy Pelosi.

Apparently not. Why won’t anyone tell her she’s a mess?

Anonymous wrote:I usually defend her here but this is awful. The side photo is not quite as bad which makes me wonder if it was riding up a bit when they took the straight on photo. Smocking is really hard to wear if his are over the age of 8. Every decade or so designers bring it back just to punk us.
Bell sleeves and off the shoulder are also a little tough for the older woman so this dress is really a challenge to wear.

I do sometimes see things in a store and think “oh this would be fun for a beach vacation!” It’s sometimes hard to pull yourself back from that and objectively assess whether it’s a good choice. I almost bought a bunch of caftans on my last vacation…. I’m sure I’ve been tempted by a fun off the shoulder look and I know I have a couple of bell sleeves in the closet that I regret buying.

+1 and this is why I try on some of my purchases for my wonderful daughter to make sure ok. Getting older can be hard when you look at cute catalog items and forget your age!

She needs a better stylist. And I don’t care that she’s in her 70s. She has access to everything and chooses to wear terrible clothing and have awful hair.
