Shocking. https://static01.nyt.com/newsgraphics/documenttools/1629cc34e562e325/4410b1d9-full.pdf

How is running an highly effective PR campaign illegal though? We can discuss how it’s a shitty way to earn a living, how Baldoni is a douche and sex creep… but what did the PR people actually say about her that was untrue? And how can she prove that this is what led to revenue loss when her product is not good, her hair looks bad, plus whatever videos of her being an ass are just public and visible to all and not made up or obtained illegally?

Is it legal to sexually harass people?

Of course not, but the lawsuit is against the PR people.

Because they helped retaliate. Shes suing Justin studio as well.

How so though? They finished the movie, she hadn’t sued him for harassment, so retaliate against what specifically?

According to the complaint? Revealing HR Complaints threatened Justin’s feminist brand. So he retaliated. I’m not an employment lawyer so I have no idea if that is considered retaliation under the law.

She was not the only cast member to lodge a SA complaint against him during filming. He's an idiot for thinking this wouldn't come out

If it would dissuade a reasonable person from coming forward with a complaint about sexual harassment then it is retaliation. Would it dissuade you from complaining about sexual harassment at work if you knew your boss was going to hire a PR firm to orchestrate a SM campaign portraying you as an entitled witch?

Ok the other complaint might be more credible. It feels like Blake just did a replace all with Harvey Weinstein's name for Justin. Finally that unfiled claim can be put to good use

Why are pr firms allowed to deliberately defame people like this? Shouldn’t that be illegal?

Blake’s own PR team should be fired.
She’s not relatable enough to be on socials.
Way too overexposed w a perfect life. Thats why no one likes her so that makes this next part difficult.
But I believe her. The rest of the cast stood w her, although I like the fact that baldino pushed the DV narrative, and still does.
I’m not in any way team Blake but the receipts are damning.

It is unclear exactly how Mr. Wallace operated. There are references in emails to “social manipulation” and “proactive fan posting,” and text messages cite efforts to “boost” and “amplify” online content that was favorable to Mr. Baldoni or critical of Ms. Lively.

“We are crushing it on Reddit,” Mr. Wallace told Ms. Nathan, according to a text she sent Ms. Abel on Aug. 9.

The next day, one of Ms. Nathan’s employees texted, “We’ve started to see shift on social, due largely to Jed and his team’s efforts to shift the narrative.”

Yes, this was clear. I think she has a strong case and will prevail. He created a toxic environment on set, and after.

I eyerolled when I saw the headline but if you read the complaint it is very damning against director and his team, and also fascinating description of how media and information can be manipulated. So please read the complaint before you judge BL.

Well the it wouldn’t be much of a complaint if the lawyers didn’t have you feeling that way after reading their handiwork.
So please read all the legal documents and hear all the evidence before you judge. That is the American legal system, after all.

She’s not powerless in the industry, he’s not a big name, makes it harder for her to look truthful and sympathetic.

No, it really doesn't. That's just your bias at play. Are you always a rigid thinker?

Plaintiff’s lawyer, actually. Just offering a view from the jury consultant.

Oh ok. I guess it's ok to get your lip sucked inappropriately if you're unkind to a reporter. She deserved it?

It’s an allegation. Seems you don’t understand the US legal system.

She will have receipts.

Not his PR trying to drag Taylor swift down as well. What a freak.

WME dropped him

Because who has the power. She has tons of money. Shame. She is just not likable. The whole rudeness to reporters is getting old. Don’t be in movies if you look down on media. Taylor Swift manages to be nice to everyone. Also the bizarre not saying the name of your kid or gender just so weird. If draws more attention actually but there is a self importance. I doubt he did anything that warrants trying to ruin his life. Hopefully some actors have a backbone and stick up for him.

Then maybe he shouldn't be a horrible harassing jerk? Nobody forced him to do that and her likability is really neither her nor there.

He ran an effective social media campaign against her because she is unrelatable and dim (plantation wedding, being unkind to anxious female reporter, talking about “resilience” of her DV character). She’s angry it worked and is suing. Will be curious to see what happens.

And now she's turned the tables. Sucks to be him now.

Also, a tiktoker I like was invited to a recent event for Lively’s hair brand. The influencer said she was nervous to meet Lively and blurted out to her: everyone tells me we sound alike. Lively replied: I don’t know what I sound like. The influencer said she was way too embarrassed to attend the second event Lively’s brand invited her to. This is the kind of person Blake Lively is and it’s why social media so easily turned against her.

His attorney fired back that she’s trying to fix her “negative image.” I thought that was smart and shows they will be aggressive against her and Rynolds.
