Still unclear on all uproar over these 2 leaving GFR. Probably 90% of the club have no idea who they are or what they did, especially on the boys side. They were only involved in the club less than year and nothing significantly improved except goal keeper training. Except to the 3 or 4 teams they coached it will probably won't matter much. Even then coaches change clubs all the time especially these two so even that is not the end of the world

It was more than 2 - NM and ML were the TD and the DOC - but there was a total of 6 or 7 coaches who left. A few might have come back but still TBD.

Those 3 stooges on the board did a lot of unnecessary damage.

They had ECNL not long ago, but Loudoun was being hogs in taking all the NVA slots for themselves, so GFR bailed. They were suppose to join Union, but not sure why that fell apart.

So do they have RL right now?

Anonymous wrote:NM and ML have no intention of leaving GFR. They will be coaching simultaneously as they have done for many clubs in the area for many years. All this fake outrage for nothing. Y’all were just discussing the alleged embezzlement lawsuit against RS a few months ago in this same thread and in the very same breath are saying there’s no truth to any of it and investigating it is a waste of resources. Pick a lane.

Not everyone understands that you can coach at multiple clubs but there is also a ton of outrage when that happens as well. People start shouting about conflicts of interest. As if suddenly NM's 2009 Bethesda ECNL team will be playing his 2015 GFR RL team.

Conflicts of interest are key. I don’t think it’s a stretch to believe that was part of the board’s thinking.

Cool story, thanks whichever one of the three Rec Board Dad member you are!

Yeah, exactly. I know for a fact that it was considered a conflict of interest by the 3 of them. They said it.

By that logic, are you Nadir, Rich, or Mike?

What are you talking about? Your statement makes no sense.

What? The 3 board members are the ones who thought it was a conflict of interest not the coaches.

So you’re saying there’s a chance?
