If anyone has received an offer, can you share the amount here please? Would like to know how much costs have increased.

Also, I’m pretty confident that there are 4 girls in that age group at GFR that could have made that team if it’s what they wanted, pathway or no.

We’ll see how many GFR girls get placed at BSC. Maybe your DC cheerleader Karen? Is that why you don’t care about a pathway? Because you already have your pathway set up?

People should play where they are happy. Not sure anyone wants NL. I for one think a strong RL team with a good coach is a great fit for my DD.

But I find it a bit ironic that your two main complaints seem to be (1) there needs to be a pathway for kids to a national league and (2) it’s so bad some kids at GFR have a pathway to a national league team at Bethesda. Seems more like an emotional investment in criticizing GFR than any rational concern.

The key word is "SOME" kids have a pathway. Cheerleader Karen, you have been arguing that if people want a NL just go out and tryout. Its so simple, its so easy. Yet, you and others know that having a coach vouch for you and open a doorway (back door in this case) is the REAL pathway and its why they chose to take it. Would all those players make it in an open tryout? We'll never know, because THEY alone (not the club) had a pathway.

DP. You sound bitter and jealous that your kid isn’t good enough for NL.

Sure Cheerleader Karen. Nice try. Is your kid good enough?

Yes

Enjoy the commute of the bridge. Hopefully your backdoor deal comes with a carpool.

Happy where we are at GFR. Not everyone is chasing NL.

Same here very satisfied with GFR. Signed up for next year already. Happy with the coaching level and development. They offer exactly what my family needs in terms of travel soccer.

Agree with other posters. My son is having fun and getting better and that’s what we need right now.

Any insight into where GFR is in their offers?

The astroturfing is astounding.

The GFR boys competed as a single GFR/NVU titled team at all ages at this weekends PWSI youngers weekend. [Not NVA. NvU.]

They’re rolling but also we were told we’d get one next week because the person who sends them doesn’t work on the weekends or something

That....doesn't sound accurate.

It is not. Those were just the u-little NVU teams that play under GFR to get access to NCSL.

GFRSC Admin and uLittle Girls Coaches, we are excited about the new coaching slate but help us help you…some kids have gotten offers while others haven’t. There has been no communication about timelines and next steps for offers so it is becoming harder to convince people to stay when most girls tried out at multiple clubs and have multiple offers in hand with 48 hour acceptance windows. You can only keep interested clubs waiting for so long. If you are unsure of performance, PLEASE speak to existing coaches who have known our girls/families for multiple years or come to practices to see the girls in the scrimmages. But something needs to be done soon if you want to keep families.

Theyve had two tryouts for the little girls. All current players should have been sent something. Thats really lame.

If I’m a current player who hasn’t gotten an offer while others on my team have, I’m thinking it’s because they are thinking about moving me up (if on a lower team) or down (if on the top team). I would be especially wary about the latter. If they were sure they wanted a kid on the top team again, they wouldn’t hesitate in sending an offer.

My kid tried out for GFR and had an expiring offer so I reached out to ask about status. If you don’t know where you stand I would do the same. I do agree it’s taking them awhile to get their offers out.
