The new conservative mantra:

They want us to tolerate their intolerance.

New?

"I'm free to wave my confederate banner and hold up signs depicting Obama as a monkey with "niggar" scrawled underneath it at the Tea Party rally but you liberals are not free to exercise your First Amendment rights to call me the racist that I am, you all need to shut up and be 'tolerant' of us."

That pretty much sums it up.

It does if you were attempted to demonstrate what nonsense looks like.

You must live in the FOX News bubble. You have absolutely no clue if you think that's "nonsense."

Have you always been so stupid, or just recently? See

And there are lots more like it out there - note that they are OVERWHELMINGLY endorsing conservative candidates.

Everyone knows redneck territory and liberals are mutually exclusive.

You forgot this one:

- and there are many other examples from other states; there are even more from Bill's election and re-election campaigns.

It's NOT an officially approved button. Most, if not all, candidates have buttons like that and if one sanctions it...then I will have a problem with them.

Not "officially approved" ??!? What about the votes it helped get for her? Were those "not official votes?"

She certainly did not seem at all opposed to the votes, or the campaign material bearing the confederate flag in 2008.

She travelled to the south three or four weeks ago to campaign; she even faked a southern drawl (an official one I suppose).

BUT SHE DID NOT ADDRESS THE FLAG. Imagine that - the perfect place and opportunity to speak out against the flag, and she failed to do so.

It's obvious she supports the flag when it suits her politically and opposes it whenever she thinks she can gin up a few votes.

Why should we trust her again?

I can't say as I have ever trusted her and I can only think of one time I would have voted for her (if it was her or Mr. Obama in the national election) but that wasn't possible.

Back to the button...it is unreasonable to expect any candidate to spend the time and money policing every item in a campaign. Get me a photo of her wearing it, proof that she approved it...then I will consider it an issue.

Whoopsies! THere's another one from a different state in 2008 (in the south too. Imagine that.)

-still waiting on her statements/quotes on the confederate flag that are OLDER than two weeks ago.

Those buttons aren't even produced by her campaign.

Honestly, I don't really care about what politicians said or didn't say about the flag in the past. It wasn't politically expedient 5 years ago or even 5 months ago for politicians to try to talk about the shitty symbolism of the flag. Now all of that has changed. I'm glad the Republicans are showing some leadership here.

The Arkansas one has a spelling mistake, FFS.

The Alabama one looks like someone glued on the green Alabama with construction paper.

They are not legitimate pins from the Clinton campaign, they do not have the union logo on them. All Clinton pins were made in union shops.
