Here I fixed it for you - The Trump Admin is going after a school district for following the law. The school district is forced to defend itself to keep its funding. |
I suspect that the issue isn’t really the numbers, it is that APS is fighting to preserve the policy choice it made that in a case of direct conflict, gender-based rights should outweigh and be prioritized over sex-based rights. The issue is not only the small numbers and the single bathroom stall. APS is fighting for a systemic ability to elevate gender-based rights of students over sex-based rights in all instances. Of course they will likely lose badly if this goes forward, but to be fair to APS, I don’t think they are spending Wilkie money just for this one small case. It is a larger legal framework. |
That is some lame-ass gaslighting right there. We can all see who has been eradicating the rights (and healthcare) for women. And it’s not the Ds. Take a look at Winsome Sears who wants to ban abortion in almost ALL cases. Transgender “issues” wasn’t even a top 20 issue for voters. It’s just an “issue” for the bigots. https://news.gallup.com/poll/651719/economy-important-issue-2024-presidential-vote.aspx |
Exactly. |
Fixed it for you- The Trump administration is continuing the Biden Administration’s policy of defunding public schools on the issue of sex-based rights. |
Keep telling yourself that. While the Republicans will keep winning. https://apnews.com/article/transgender-rights-campaign-trump-kamala-harris-democrats-republicans-bbae5660ef59110e5fc9c24f98b082d6 |
I understand and your point is valid. But, the by obfuscating the numbers, APS leadership is elevating the policies agenda/legal framework over ANY analysis by taxpayers of the benefits. We simply don’t know whether this impacts ANY Arlington kids and to what extent versus the costs imposed. There is a finite well of $, and pursuing their political agenda for a legal framework (which may not impact any kids) over, for example, more preschool/foreign language/breakfast for kids/drama programs/esol learners, means they are pretending to their constituency that this is essentially a no cost/no trade off issue. |
Show me where the Biden admin did what Trump is doing to school districts. I'll wait. |
APS isn't pretending about anything. They are going to court to keep their funding so that Trump admin can't take it away. And do you really not know any trans kids in APS? We know several. |
Let’s see how things go this fall. It was at the very bottom of a long list of issues in 2024. That was before Trump started attacking our education system, crapping on the Constitution, etc. Given the current GOP dumpster fire I doubt this “issue” even makes the list. You can only recycle this manufactured “issue” for so long. People will tire of it and you’ll need to find some other vulnerable group to prey upon. Leave our kids alone, vile POS. |
FOIA the arrangement with the law firm. Search for the data online. |
Already been posted multiple times. FOIA does not apply to state or county governments. It’s a federal law applicable to federal agencies. There is nothing online. I have searched. Any mechanism you suggest I would certainly be willing to try. How much do you even think they are spending? Most Wilkie litigation partners charge $2k+ for ONE HOUR of time. Do you know how many kids in APS could have breakfast? |

Our schools could devote more of their energy towards teaching and supporting our kids if the trash MAGA king stopped attacking vulnerable kids to score political points with bigots. |
