It’s not the entire East wing, it’s just like an awning that you drive or walk under. Whatever you call that. |

The worthless construction company doing the demolition illegally on our white house is ACECO, out of silver spring. They often work with Clark Construction.

Mafia ties? Or suckers who think they’re an exception and they’ll actually get paid, unlike most people who do work for him? |
Nope, the East Wing is gone. I walked by there today and you can see the destruction from the south. |
It’s the entire East wing. Demolition expected to be finished by the weekend. |

There's a world where a president whose term overlaps with the 250th anniversary of independence announces that he wants a White House extension to celebrate. He goes to Congress and gets bipartisan buy-in. Maybe it's part of other big 250th projects with public-private funding. And it's popular.
Trump doing this as a unilateral decision, lying about what will be demolished to make the ballroom, Republican's making fun of 'Trump derangement syndrome' libs for not liking it - it is all needless and pointlessly screw-you. - Dave Weigel |

Two things Jeff noted in blog today :
1. “Completed in 1942 to house the first lady’s office and support staff, the now-former East Wing presents significant engineering challenges. Any addition must maintain structural independence while protecting the historic building’s load paths, vibration limits and façade integrity.” 2. Trump is demanding $230 million be paid to him by taxpayers because he had his feelings hurt when his ridiculous and illegal behavior was called out. He hinted that he would use this to fund the ballroom. Frankly, if my tax dollars are used to pay trump for his horrifying behavior, that will be the final straw. That is intolerable. |
Wonder who the architect of the project is? |
Final straw? What does that even mean? I hit my “final straw” during term 1, but here we are… |
Why do you guys insist on lying about easily verifiable facts: "The White House expects the entire East Wing to be demolished to allow for the construction of President Donald Trump’s planned $200 million ballroom, sources familiar with the project told ABC News." https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/entirety-east-wing-modernized-build-trump-ballroom-white/story?id=126755761 |
It is the ENTIRE East Wing. |
Wrong: "The White House expects the entire East Wing to be demolished to allow for the construction of President Donald Trump’s planned $200 million ballroom, sources familiar with the project told ABC News." |
