That reflects gross agism on your part. We are humans just like you, not some aberrant freaks who should be kept behind curtains. You are immature, but that’s okay because life will catch up with you |
I don't like seeing anyone make out, whatever their age, and no matter how attractive they are. |
This season of GB has two themes:
1. Grief counseling 2. Bro-mance before romance! The guys are crying a lot when another guy is sent home. Not crying about leaving Joan. Of course, they spend 30 times more time with the guys than the do with Joan, but we aren't seeing the contestants get hearts broken. They are more attached to male friendship than Joan or love. Chock is reminding me of Theresa! He's very intense about how certain they are a match. However, there's no alternative interest by Joan like there was with Gerry also liking Leslie and Faith. In fact, we don't hear Joan speaking about strong feelings for any of the guys except a little with Chock. The season seems to be missing any genuine excitement and romantic intensity on Joan's part. I don't know what SHE envisions a relationship to be. I don't know what her hobbies and daily activities would be. Is she still working? We don't know her in any practical depth. At least with Gerry, we knew he played pickleball and lived at the lake and wanted to go to Italy. He wasn't working. With Joan, we know only the most surface things: she likes wine and cheese at the beach. She likes Sunday dinners. ...???? She's given a lot of details about her grief journey, but very little about who she is now and how a relationship would work. The audience doesn't have strong opinions about who she should pick at this point because we don't feel like we know the guys or Joan, and we don't see Joan having strong feelings for more than one. So there isn't a big mystery that we want to solve. Just more grief counseling, and some pleasant dates in between. |
Perfectly said. She’s too reserved and not entertaining at all. Still hasn’t gotten close to cracking 100k Insta followers, just a dud. |
Her "journey" should feel exciting and it doesn't. Don't know how much is her and how much is the edit, but does anyone really care who she ends up with at this point? |
Same. Similarly, when I watch DWTS (yes, I'm old and watch both shows), I do not want to see the guys take their shirt off. |
She said on last night's show that the person she would end up with was in the room, but I've been wondering if she will pick none of them and have an "I pick me!" ending. Did Mark and Jonathan stay as long as they did to help set them up for future Golden Bachelor roles? She and Mark didn't seem to have much to say to each other on their date. It was awkward. Chock is giving weird vibes, but maybe it's the editing and not the same in real life. I think I'd be avoiding him if I was Joan. |
I think Mark will be the next Golden Bachelor and so they decided he should leave. |
Pretty sure that was the plan all along but also he and Joan have no chemistry. |
I posted the same upthread. I feel like he just wants to win. |
Yeah, I also think she likes him for surface reasons and doesn't know him at all. |
She will pick the one who has the most financial security because she’s broke and needs someone to bail her out. |
Jonathon could be the next Golden Bachelor because it would make sense to have an AA person for the next season for diversity reasons ….. |
Not really necessary since the next Bachelor is AA but I'd be surprised if he isn't under consideration for a future season. Seems clear the next one will be Mark, though I personally find him dull like Joan. |
+1. Chock is in competition with the other men. He wants to "win" - not to be with Joan. Speaking of which, does anyone know if Joan still works at Landon? |
