He’s notoriously super involved with running the team and they just won the MLS Cup and had the highest revenue of any team last year (near $200 million). Like… he did not just trip into wealth from his also incredibly successful football career.

Victoria Beckham is a notorious workaholic who has also had 2 incredibly successful careers.

They let nannies raise their kids, and then the kids turned out to be duds. They'll be lucky if even one goes to college. Being so focused on careers, professional accomplishments, your "brand," etc. comes at a cost. They should have made their kids get real educations and make their trust funds dependent on getting a degree. But that would have required focusing on someone other than themselves.

I mean, yes, Martha Stewart and Beyoncé are also examples of incredibly hard workers who have business savvy. I don’t have as good a sense of how much is them personally vs the ability to pick savvy advisers (the Beckham franchise story was the subject of a fantastic Athletic piece recently), but even the latter is typically not dumb luck.

Malia Obama wrote for Swarm in 2022-3, submitted The Heart to Sundance & did the festival circuit in 2024 and then directed that A'ja Wilson Nike commercial last year. IMDB may be assigning her writing credits to 2023, but most of the work on The Heart was in 2024 and she's definitely still active in the industry. Given that she's like 27, it certainly seems like she doing as much hustling as the average 27 year old (with more prominent results because of connections). Malia also won an academic prize at Harvard, so pretty sure she and the Beckham kids are on different planets achievement wise.

Sasha Obama did refreshing normal things that the Beckham kids would never like work as a waitress on Martha's Vineyard. Michelle recently let it drop that she's in grad school, so that's pretty normal for a 24 year old.
