I actually saw this on al-Jazeera English, which has reporters in Gaza. But I know a lot of people don't believe non-Western news media. Which is why it is so important that they be allowed in. Social media, youtube, and non-Western media sources are the only way this stuff is getting out.

Gaza is different. There is no western media allowed. The journalists in Gaza who are reporting what is going on, are extremely courageous, with the threat of execution looming over their heads. Just yesterday Israel declared several al-Jazeera journalists in Gaza as members of Hamas. Which means, now they will be targeted. How else to get their stories out?

To compare that to North Carolina is just ridiculous.

Also it makes me angry that reports from northern Gaza are treated as false.

Look at how quickly people believed the 40 beheaded babies story from Israel. Even the president repeated it. Go look at part 1 of this thread and how people were advocating to bomb Gaza to bits because of that lie. The average American no doubt still believes that to be true, because it was all over the news at the time. And why not, they're indoctrinated to believe Arabs are the bad guys.

The lies were so awful from fox news and the like, it actually did lead to the murder of a little boy here in the US, Wadee Alfayoumi.

But point out that Israel is committing war crimes, and the reaction is oh, you can't go around believing social media! So damn tired of Palestinians being seen as inhuman murderous villains.
