The main reason they would "stay for their children" is for peace and security. The best way to achieve peace and security is through defeating Russia. Any thinking person should be able to understand this. The person shrieking "moron" is clearly not a thinking person.

DP.. Original post worked fine. Try this. https://balkaninsight.com/2023/02/08/ukrainian-refugees-prove-their-value-in-poland-and-elsewhere/#:~:text=And%20according%20to%20estimates%20by,state's%20expenditure%20aiding%20these%20people. |
You are clearly unfamiliar with root causes of immigration but that's all right. It's about better quality sausage as often as it is about not getting bombed. |
DP Are you familiar with root causes of migration? It is often about escaping fossilized state and police corruption, crime, violence and drug gangs controlling local businesses both legal and illegal (Central America). All parents want some hope for their own children. The Syrian refugee crisis which destabilized EU and required a lot of their foreign aid funding to be spent at home on refugee camps - was caused by Russian ruthlessly bombing Syria civilians and civilian infrastructure in order to destabilize EU. Ukraine may not be perfect but their courage in standing up to the ruthless grandiose ambitions of Putin and his cronies is remarkable. Russia remains the second greatest world nuclear power and their leadership has no moral Compass at all. That said, I can understand that Poland and other neighboring countries who have been providing massive assistance to Ukraine need to take care of their own citizens. I think they realize it is very much on their interests to support efforts to defeat Russia. |
You are clearly unfamiliar with the fact that millions of Ukrainians weren't fleeing the country prior to February 23, 2022. It's not the kielbasa, it is in fact the bombs. You are clearly still not a thinking person. |
Do you actually craven enough to knowingly insult our intelligence with this comment, or are you actually so clueless as to think you actually have a valid point to make here? |
Here's the best public count of Russian casualties: https://en.zona.media/article/2022/05/11/casualties_eng They have a weekly graph about a third of the way down the page, which shows a steep decline over the past few months. There were roughly 1,500 Russian KIA from the start of the offensive through the last update. No one will do similar quality counts on Ukraine, because they don't want to get blown up. That leaves us using lesser sources. Shoigu for instance claims 66,000 Ukrainians, which is probably on the high side. A solider with the 47th posted they were suffering 13 KIA a day, which puts them at over 1,100 for the duration of the offensive. That's just one brigade. If those numbers scale to other Ukrainian brigades, then Shoigu's number is actually on the low side. So we get 66,000/1,500 or roughly 44-1, well above the 10-1. If you have a better source for UA loses, feel free to plug it in instead. The English language media generally views UA loses as taboo, so its hard to find good sources. |
America needs to step up and accept ALL of these Ukrainian war refugees. |
Shoigu also claims that every Ukrainian missile and drone is intercepted. Then pictures come out showing that he really meant intercepted by ship hulls. |
So what's your number for UA KIA? |
The Polish learned a long time ago not to trust other countries. Second to hating Russians is the Polish hatred for Germans. Poland ethnically cleansed Germans from its lands after World War Two. As for the Ukrainians, Poles view them as little brothers. I have a feeling that the female Ukrainian refugees will be permitted to stay as long as they marry Polish men and bear Polish children. The male Ukrainian men will most likely be deported back to Ukraine to fight for their country. |
Only if they will resettle in Mississippi and Alabama 😂 Ukrainian refugees in London and Germany complained when they were resettled near black or brown people I heard years ago that ukranian people in general have an ungrateful streak but never realized it was so blatant |
Yes but millions of Ukrainians couldn't. The only way to have a meaningful comparison is to invent a time machine, go back to 2021 and give all Ukrainians indefinite leave to remain in the EU with work authorization and some benefits. That wasn't available in 2021. Before Brexit, you couldn't find British busboys or nannies or cleaners in the UK (well you could, but not common). They were all Lithuanian or Polish or similar. No bombs falling, mind you. This tells you how migration flows work. |
