I am big fan of Jimmy Carter, but he did not found Habitat. That was founded by Millard Fuller and his wife Linda, which is an interesting story. Fuller was a self-made millionaire by his late 20's, then sold off all of his possessions, gave his money to the poor and devotes the rest of his life to charity. Carter was hugely helpful in promoting and working for Habitat, but Fuller should get credit where it is due. A family member of mine worked closely with him for years, and he was an amazing person. |

You know what's more disgusting? Mocking the pronunciation of a president's name. It's right up there with refusing to add the "ic" to "Democrat" and referring to members of the GOP as "Rethuglicans." Puerile. |

He was a president who had no business being one. Remember Vanessa Williams? After those pictures hit the next Miss America was from Utah. After Nixon the country voted in a Baptist. And as many have remarked on already...your last line says more about you than anything else. |

Had liver surgery and they say the cancer has spread but I didn't read any specific mention of location it's in. He's ninety and going to fight it so I admire his determination. |
