Biden’s economy

This is what happens when misguided Americans vote in people like Donald Trump and Joe Biden. So sad and disgusting.

I doubt they will be tweeting about the increase in costs for a Thanksgiving dinner.....

Check profits for Domino Sugar, Butterball and the various frozen vegetable packaging companies. All record profits.

Here we go again. If your only argument is that some companies are having layoffs, while ignoring the near record low in actual layoffs and historic job growth, I think you’ve lost the argument.

FYI- Amazon is hiring 250k workers this holiday season, up from 100k. That alone dwarfs Citibank (which has 240k workers in total). Hiring is booming….see recent job numbers!

Amazon hiring 250k temp delivery and warehouse workers (most of whom are actually “private contractors”) does not replace typically high-wage, upper middle class bank jobs, and is a rather weird argument to be making.

People are losing the jobs they worked their entire life to become qualified for and that provided a stable income for them, so they should go over and get a 2 month long job delivering packages for Amazon?

NBC knows how to spin. Go to the source:

Gathering around the table for a Thanksgiving dinner won’t take as much of a toll on your pocketbook this year compared to 2022, but the meal still reflects historically high costs. The American Farm Bureau Federation’s 38th annual survey provides a snapshot of the average cost of this year’s classic holiday feast for 10, which is $61.17 or less than $6.20 per person.
This is a 4.5% decrease from last year’s record-high average of $64.05, but a Thanksgiving meal is still 25% higher than it was in 2019, which highlights the impact high supply costs and inflation have had on food prices since before the pandemic.

And the pandemic happened when who was president?

So those higher costs are whose fault?

+1

We would be in the middle of another Great Depression if Donald had gotten elected in 2020. Shockingly, you can’t tax cut for billionaires your way out of a depression, though that’s the only tool the GOP has.

"No eggs for Americans unless they can pay $5 per dozen," they said. There was a large man, very tall. Strong. He heard that the Republicans could do nothing and, with tears in his eye, went to President Biden. "Sir," he said. "My children love eggs." And now those eggs are down to $0.77 per dozen. That man's children will have eggs again, thanks to President Biden and the Democrats. God bless Joe.

so it actually was corporate greed

As we all said.

As all the elected Democrats said and they wanted to pass a law against price gouging, but the GOP blocked it.

I'm glad the GOP blocked price controls.

The seller OWNS the product. I don't want the govt to tell them what they can sell it for. If you don't like the price, LITERALLY, take a hike. No one holds a gun to your head to buy anything (except the govt).

We know you lefties would love to own the means of production (AKA communism), but absent that, you justw ant to control the buyer, seller, transaction and every aspect of our lives. NO.
