Unclear. It's a screenshot of a private comment from a private but unverified account and that person's verified LinkedIn account has numerous supportive statements of Blake. She definitely hasn't come out publicly against Blake. I'm reserving judgment until Victoria Burke actually makes a public statement on the matter. It would be a 180 from her so if it's a real comment, she'll need to explain it.

There’s enough chatter that maybe the media or someone will look into it. Not sure why Kjersti would lie about something verifiable.

It looks like it has been verified -- she went on Megyn Kelley. I still find it weird because she's publicly been very supportive this whole time but essentially got outed from a comment on a private Instagram account that isn't verified (so basically forced to address it). I think it's chaotic and I wonder if something happened between her and Lively or Lively's team because I am not quite clear why she would withdraw her support now. It's not like Lively filed a different motion -- this is the same motion she filed last year that Burke publicly supported.

As a JB supporter all I can say is wow.

It makes it look like Burke's support was always fake because there's no good reason to decide suddenly to have the opposite opinion that she publicly expressed as recently as January. It actually makes Burke look like an opportunist.

People on Reddit are also saying that Burke supports Johnny Depp. I don't know if that's true or not.

It really doesn't matter to the legal case but that is embarrassing for Lively. Though one does wonder how "organic" it is that Flaa "found" the comment and then Burke ended up on Megyn Kelly.

It’s actually pretty easy to explain imo. I said way back when that the women’s advocacy groups supporting Blake were more invested in protecting 47.1 than supporting Blake and that Justin was just collateral damage as far as they were concerned. Now that the judge is hinting that he’ll rule it unconstitutional, they’re turning on her in hopes of saving the law. They probably never believed in her but rationalized supporting her as for the greater good. But she’s never been a good face for this movement. Burke cares about 47.1. That’s actually the most consistent piece of this puzzle. Hope blake is having the day she deserves.

Her interview is something else.

She says she supported Johnny Depp and thinks he proved malice against Amber Heard.

She says her real beef with Lively is that her lawyers are advocating for 47.1 in New York State and they didn't involve Burke the way she expected to be. She feels the association of the law with Lively will hurt it.

But I can't square these statements because I don't know anyone else who supports 47.1 and doesn't think it would apply to Amber Heard's situation. Yes Heard was an imperfect victim. Most victim's are. But she was a survivor of domestic violence, spoke publicly about it, and was sued for telling the truth. And most people also believe there was a damaging social media campaign to paint her as crazy and dishonest during the campaign (orchestrated by Melissa Nathan!) that skewed the jury result.

And then to announce all this on Megyn Kelly, who is trying to resuscitate Harvey Weinstein's reputation?

WTF.

She was sued and lost. What part aren’t you understanding? Sorry but are you living in an alternate reality?

When she was sued she won. The lawsuit against Blake was thrown out. That's the basis of the 47.1 motion. The lawsuit she brought was partially dismissed and then settled.

This woman supported Blake through all of that but now suddenly doesn't. Why? Did she find something out that made her change her mind? If so, she should tell people.

It makes no sense I defend Johnny Depp or announce this on a show that doesn't support the MeToo movement.

Yes probably this. The way Blake is trying to use 47.1 in Texas is particularly egregious because the MTD there was based on lack of personal jurisdiction. The law appears to be both overbroad and poorly drafted.

You have to be a particular type of moron to think that anything that is happening to Blake now is the result of social media manipulation or some type of smear campaign by WF. Even if WF had been conducting some stealth campaign against Blake, in 2024 (and there is, by her attorney’s own admission, no such evidence), WF would not have continued such a campaign once the lawsuit was initiated and certainly not three years later.

Right. If you watch the interview, sounds like Burke was upset Blake tried to go on a 47.1 roadshow. Someone on Reddit said Blake wanted authorship of 47.1 lol

Maybe because other than the Blake bots on here, the rest of the world, including Burke, realized that a plaintiff that drops her claims right before trial and with no consideration, likely has weak or fabricated claims.

Mystery solved why we couldn’t find the Burke comment. It wasn’t an Instagram post. It was a comment she left on a recent nyt article.
