The person referenced in this article was 15 in 2012. May be one of Wint's brothers or someone unrelated. But Wint would have been 31ish.

Is it certain that this is the same "Darren Wint"? I thought he was much older than the linked article suggests.

Here you go!

actually, with so much speculation about what actually happened, and who might or might not be involved, I realize the reason I haven't contributed to the Gofundme campaign for the slain housekeeper is that I feel uncertain of its legitimacy, since I've only seen it posted here. Maybe this is true for others? Is it silly? Maybe someone can put my concerns to rest. Has the link been published anywhere but here on this thread? (like in her obituary, news article?) Does it seem clear the money will go to her husband?
thank you.

The link and players are so public, I doubt there will be fraud. It:s been published in one news link which is where I found it many days ago. t. I bet if you google the link today you can see which news places have linked it.

El Tiempo Latino, Washington Hispanic, Nbcwashington.com nkow jacksonville daily news all these other area news outlets. But shouldn't the first three local ones suffice as proof?

Disagree entirely. I think many of the people who are reluctant to give feel the same way. I would be curious how much of their community has given. I would hope this is not another free for all on the rich white folk, frankly.

+1

I donated a few days ago. I am disappointed it has yet to reach its goal. If the HK's family have received support outside of the fund, I wish NG would update. In addition to the funeral expenses, I am certain the family will face additional expenses when the clowns are brought to trial. Although it will be difficult, I would want to be there to look these killers right in the eye.

Maybe you expecting white guilt to kick in, instead? Let's be honest here.

Wow...I also know many hard working class folks who are quite generous. I work in a non profit environment. There are MANY good people in the world who give their time and money. And, they are not rich.

I hope some real news will break soon so we can stop bickering. More arrests? More charges?

Bring it on!

The age of that boy is such that it couldn't be the same Darron Wint. You've got the wrong guy.

PP here. You are right. I did not checked the age - doesn't add up.

I would imagine there is a history of abandonment and trauma at the very least. His dad was living here with his new family while Wint was in Guyana doing what exactly? We don't know. It would be very interesting to get a complete history of the family. I think it would reveal quite a lot about what made Wint and his brother "bad seeds."

Do you know how many families in the US have lived under those circumstances? And the VAST majority of them are not spawning murderers! Parents can be the best out there, but there is always an element of free will.
